What is DDE? Is it related to DDT and does it have the same effect on eggs? |

DDE is a metabolite of DDT, formed when DDT loses a chlorine atom. It is not as poisonous as DDT, but is more persistent in the environment and it is the molecule that causes the eggshell thinning. |
