Dr. Sharpe...having witnessed the events of the PH nest last season ('08)...I am wondering if K-10 and K-26 had a natural inclination to build a deeper well in their nest this season in order to protect their offspring from predators?...Thank you for your work, and I am saddened by the loss... |

They never saw their chicks get knocked out of the nest last year, only the IWS crew coming and taking the chicks away, so I don't think the nest bowl depth had anything to do with last year's events. |
