HAPPY EASTER TO ALL!

CHOOSING BLUE COLOR CUZ THIS IS A HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO PAULA - HOPE YOU HAD A VERY WONDERFUL DAY - HOPE TO GET TO SEE YOU AGAIN WHEN YOU COME TO CA.

Now to say my heart is heavy and grieving at the loss of both Windy and Hope - was not on the computer all day or evening - gave a project to DH to do. Was not expecting this news at all - thankfully they have been successful parents in the past and I hope there will be more next year. :'( :'( :'(

Topa - really enjoyed your pics at the Carpinteria Seal Sanc. - I really love to go there to see the moms and babies on the beach - have not been to Bates Beach - very nice area.

Karen - Loved your PEEPS pic yesterday - sooooo cute.

Mrs. Goose - Great pic of your Norfolk visit - does your new 400 lenses have stabalizer built in - the weight of my 100-300 w/ stabalizer and the amount of glass in this Canon lens makes it painful on my wrists to hold it up for very long (3.5lbs).

Artsy Mom - Loved the video of Xi Lan yesterday - keeps on getting cuter and cuter and more and more animated.

George - Great shots of the hockey game - I do imagine most fights are for show - still would take away from the game to me - but lots go there just to see how many fights there will be, I guess.

Happy Easter to all in whatever way you celebrate this day!
I got up at 4:30 AM (but was awake since 2:10) to attend the 5:30 AM service at my church. For the past 7 years I made my way up to Mount Calvary Monastery in Santa Barbara to spend Holy Week and Easter there. Tom joined me for the last 4 years. Then the monastery was totally lost in the Montecito Tea Fire on November 14. So this week I have been grieving once again its loss in my life and the lives of the brothers and all else who were affiliated with it in any way. The service at my church was wonderful, very reminiscent of what we had at the monastery on Easter morning. So I felt comforted and enjoyed the delicious breakfast prepared for us following the service and the fellowship.

So many losses. Both chicks on the PH nest. What a blow! My heart aches for K-10 and K-26 and all of us who have grown so attached to that nest. We still have Cruz and Spirit, but 4 others have been lost now. We have the other two nests to enjoy watching the little ones grow and thrive until they too take off to the big outside world. All is not lost! :Hugs:

Vynah, sorry to read about the loss of the monastery. It must have been a very special place.

Linda, your arrangement looks so pretty, and edible (for the most part), too! :Yum: Nice spring colours.

Robin, I had a friend who collected eggs like the ones you posted. Her heritage was Czechoslovakian. Every year she would purchase one more from a woman who was gifted in being able to design them. My friend passed away a long time ago, her son must have those eggs now. Thanks for the sweet memory.

Oldest DS has called and asked if he could, "Bring someone," for Easter dinner. Eeep! Lala, could I borrow your arrangement? :)

Better say :}^ for now!
