Thanks Patti, Karen, Deb, and Lauren for your help in understanding the Red Tide phenomenon. I appreciate it. :><:

When it does occur....and you are along the shore....it can be a real feast for people too...fish and crabs come in to the shallow shore waters to try and breathe better...you can just go out in the shallow water and scoop them up!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCKEYEFAN1 - HOPE YOUR DAY WAS VERY SPECIAL!

Penny - Mom eagle sure loves the ornate branches - such perfect shots by Duane - wish he would post a pic of his camera and lens.

Harpo - rofl rofl rofl Mustard story!

Ian - Great shots of the Cooper Hawk - thanks for sharing.

Mrs Goose/Karen - what beautfiul pics Mr. Goose was able to get of the variety of wildlife in the Norfolk area - how fortunate to be able to visit such a great place close to you - love all the slideshows.

Lorraine - What a priviledge to experience the release of a bald eagle - has your heart settled down yet - don't know if mine would - thanks so much for sharing the story and pics.

SaraOh - Such a beautiful tribute to beautiful Limuw - I enjoy so much wearing my Limuw shirts and hoody in trubute.

So sorry to hear about Kathy and Karen's mom not doing well during Ozzie's visit with her - sounds like she needs more help than their being there and the home health help they have as well - may be too much for her husband to be able to handle as well - sounds like they need to be asking about other sources of care available for her that will be the best all around for their mom.

:}^ Everyone,

I have tried to get on here all day to post this, but work kept getting in the way (only two more tax days left). I am finally finished and want to add the following tribute to Limuw.

Limuw captured my heart in ways no other eagle has. I found this post last winter in the 5/20/08 Chat at 3:08PM (on page 13), posted by Cathie/bigbird the day after Spirit and Skye were knocked off the nest. I do not know who to credit for this amazing compilation. It contains a tribute that was put together after Limuw left us, and I marked it at the time I saw it. I have wanted to share it again with all of you, and today seemed the most appropriate time to post it, especially while we are all feeling so sad by the recent events at PH. I hope I do this correctly (I have not copied like this before).

Cathie/bigbird posts:
"Without PH to watch but off and on, I went searching to find out if this has ever happened before. Feeling sad any way about Limuw, I found this nicely done chronology of his life. It contains captures done by many of the IWS members. As usual all I can do is give you the link. So here it is:

I hope everyone who loved Limuw saves this for future reference.

Me too Dory. I'm still trying to decide what to bring to the pot luck lunch...are you coming to that too?

Thanks for the link to the Limuw tribute Bette. I think Judyb has done an excellent job for all the nests she has documented over the years.

Loved the condor pics in your slideshow Sheila.

They are better looking when you don't see their heads too up close and personal :P

Sent you a PM regarding Duane

Moving this forward, since it was posted so late last night.
