whew a lot of stuff this afternoon while I was :Zz:

ES got tickets to Mets game tonight - not me - BIL is going with him although I'd love to see the new stadium (game 3 there) - it's a bit chilly and could rain so I'm staying home......

Lala - I think you may be right - all we saw was the parent! AWESOME! I'll make sure Gary sees this .... :><:

Roy/Pat safe journey and hoping you have super weather while visiting in CA :soar:

Sara thanks for the condor link - now guess we need to go back to SB :)^

Jill that is awesome! :><:

Sandie - much good luck in your new home :ok:

We're asking all folks who partake of an IWS Tour this year - please post your thoughts and photos in the 2009 IWS Tour Thread

http://z7.invisionfree.com/CHIL_EagleCAM/i...opic=3642&st=30

We all see things a bit differently and it's great to see the islands and eagles thru the eyes of another person - thanks!

Jill, that is just too cool! Will you be handing out fudge this year?! :P

No, not this year Sara. After 3 years I decided (with my DH agreeing) that we would just dress the dog up. (and the fudge was only for the officers! :P )

is your cell phone secure - holy cow

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uCyKcoDaofg

How to protect yourself

Mislan suggests keeping a close eye on your cell phone so that others never get an opportunity to download information such as spy software onto your phone. He also says it's important to install a security password on your phone to restrict anyone else from using it.

And while some Spyware marketers claim their products can be used on any make and model of cell phone, Mislan says high-end cell phones that include internet access and online capability are particularly vulnerable to Spyware tapping.

Wilcox recommends removing the battery from your cell phone when it's not being used and, for sensitive phone calls, he suggests making them on a newly-purchased cell phone that comes with a pre-paid month-to-month service plan.

Based on WTHR's test, here are some subtle signs that could suggest your cell phone is being secretly tapped:

- Cell phone battery is warm even when your phone has not been used
- Cell phone lights up at unexpected times, including occasions when phone is not in use
- Unexpected beep or click during phone conversation

the whole story

got a message from ES - they are at new stadium trying to figure out where to park - Shea Stadium is down but the parking area has not been restored - so they'll probably have to be bused to the game! OH well - for the price of the tickets (free) - they can suck it up! rofl

Well the cases are now packed ... and we are all ready to rock and roll with the Cruzers!

We set off this afternoon .. have to catch a ferry from the Island to Vancouver .. 2 hours away ...  as we have a morning flight we are staying overnight in a hotel close to the airport .. and they have an airport shuttle bus service .. so we are all set!

Just to recap our itinerary ...

Thursday, April 16 .... arrive at LAX ... and the wonderful Lala is picking us up ... and not only being our chauffeur up to Carpinteria .. but also our tour guide that day.

Friday/Saturday ... Carpinteria/Ojai ... peppermint is our host and guide ... and we are so looking forward to the Cruzers' Get-together at the Lake with the Pot Luck Lunch .... then Dinner at Boccalis. Thanks to Topa for making the arrangements ... and Lala and everyone who is helping with the decor etc. It is sure to be a fantastic day!

Sunday, April 19th ... travel via Amtrak to Oceanside ... then to Escondido ... so if you are in that area and would like to say "Hi" to some Canadian A-49 Cruzers ... we would love to see/meet you. We should arrive in Oceanside, around 2:15pm.

Monday  ... Escondido and Jann and Dave are our hosts ... and we are going to the WAP.

Tuesday, April 21st ... moving over to Long Beach in readiness for our trip over to Catalina Island.

Wednesday ...  Catalina Island ... Our Tour, which we have combined with Helen's and peppermint is her guest.

Thursday, April 23rd ... return to Long Beach ... Huntington Beach and visit the Sacred Door .. followed by another Cruzers' Get-together  ... Dinner at the Harbor House. Thanks to Joanie for arranging this.

Friday ... we are being hosted by Lilac/Masako ... and she is taking us to the Huntington Library and Gardens on the Saturday. Looking forward to that .. we hear the gardens are spectacular.

Sunday .. Hollywood ... to see the Walk of Fame.

Monday, April 27th ... Return to Canada.

Busy ... busy ...

See you soon!

and do you have a moment to visit with Pat/Roy - ? Busy schedule!
