:^^^: :candle: :candle: :candle: so sorry to hear that all 3 chicks were lost - wow .... that's just such a shame :'(

went to work only to get yelled at pretty much - so put on my jacket and came back home to a nice long sleep! 3 others are out today - sick! and Donna was going home as soon as the driver was back to cover the phones - she's sick too!

feeling better since my sleep - head still a bit fuzzy :(

Hope you licked a good bit more stuff before you left!

I didn't even get to lick - yet! They've all been sick for past couple weeks and now I've joined the gang! Hopefully on Mon I'll still have enough germs to share back! :<:: and now the sneezing begins - geez......

BUT my new camera was waiting for me - got another Panasonic/Limux - 14 mega pixels - and promised ES I wouldn't drop this one! thank goodness it uses the same batteries as the older model we had so don't have to buy any backups! Operates very similar to old one so not much to learn - whew! now need something to take photos of ........ oh trinity...........

Trish...can you tell me about the truck that you ride in to the banding of the owls? Do you stand in the back or what? Is it hard to get in or do they have steps? *help* Thanks in advance.

Karen~It's a 4x4 truck with benches in the back.
There is a sturdy 4-5 step wooden ladder to climb in and out and it does have a rail on one side to hold onto. I held a hand to balance on the way up and down since it was offered.
I don't think it will be too difficult to climb in and out of.

If you look around the site, I'm sure I saw more pix of the truck.

Debi, I'm so sorry for the loss of your mother. We're never quite ready to lose our parents, no matter how old we ourselves get. My mom passed away 2 years ago, and now, every year on my birthday, I take out Robert Munsch's book 'Love You Forever' , and read it. It so eloquently speaks of that precious relationship between parent and child -

"I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
As long as I'm living,
My Mommy you'll be"

Brings me to tears just thinking about it.

Pat, that is one book that I could never read without having tears. What beautiful words they are. One of my friend's sons recently got married, and he gave her that book and wrote a note on the inside cover thanking her for raising him so well. :'( <3

Linda, I give 'Love You Forever' at every baby shower I go to. It's so interesting to watch it go around and each person ends up in tears - but tears of poignancy. It really is a book for adults, even though Bob Munsch is an incredibly fabulous children's book author. I used to read it to my Grade One students with my back turned so they wouldn't see me cry. Then I smartened up and read it face on, so they would see my tears and hear my choked up voice, and I could explain...... I had given my Mom the very copy that I read now, as my gift to her on my birthday. She was easy to love forever and like for always!
