David surprised Linds with a trip to Convict Lake this past wknd. They had a great time. Here is a slideshow with just a few pics she took. She took over 500 pics  but don't worry...only 36 of them are in the slideshow.

It was warm in the southland yesterday, lots of new record highs. Santa Barbara hit 97 "unofficially". It was 60 when I went to bed at 11:15, but 70 when I woke up at 5:15.

Holy Cow!!! Looks like I left right in time!!!! Posted Image

Paula, thanks for the reply. Goose and I are so excited about finding this nest on our own and were thrilled to see three chicks on the nest on Saturday. We can’t wait to go back in another week or so to see how quickly they grow. ^"^ ^"^ ^"^

Karen, both the mountain bluebird and the western scrub jay are very pretty birds. How exciting for the birdwatchers in Toledo to see a bird that hasn’t been spotted in more than 100 years! Nice slideshow of Convict Lake and your family having fun in the snow. <3

Penny, once again those are awesome photos of the Norfolk eagles. Thanks for posting them.

whew what a day - don't want to get sick again - too hard to come back to work so before I leave a quick note -

I think you and Paula are right in the age of the chicks - from what you can see in the photo - of course you can't climb a nearby tree so..... but they look super! How exciting!

Still raining here and supposed to continue for another couple days!

time to go - traffic will be slooooooooooooooooooooooooow for sure with the rain :}^

Thanks, Deb. The eaglepedia information you posted this morning was helpful too. We didn’t climb any trees but we did get as close as we could. rofl

Beautiful slideshow Karen, the scenery is just stunning. Maybe Jossy should try out for the girl's softball team...what an arm

I certainly hope that the :flk: :flk: :flk: will all be gone when I get home and there will not be any more :rn:
until the rivers go back to pre-flood levels. We are so looking forward to getting back to our own bed again. Not looking forward to all the cl*#@ing though :(
