Linds said the cabins are nice but the one they had was pretty small. It was only a 1 bdrm as that was all they needed. It had a queen bed and a twin. I looked at the cabins at the website and they look pretty nice. They even have one that sleeps 32 people! On the map it looks as if the bigger the cabin the farther from the lake it is. I would like to be close to the lake myself. They also went to Mammoth to play in the snow as there was a lot more there. Would love to go in the fall when the leaves are changing. Those aspens look beautiful all around there. |

On Sunday I went to the park to look for birds with my camera - no luck bird-wise, even the Coopers were hard to see in their nest, but I did get squirrels:![]() Full resolution: Squirrel George, I had to tone this down some in Photoshop because for some reason the camera metering didn't get the exposure quite right and overexposed it some. I'm a bit puzzled why it did that - mid-morning with some light wispy clouds, so it's not like it was a bright high contrast subject or something. Not sure what would cause that. |

I've been in San Francisco this past weekend. We had a great time, but I sure missed being with the Cruzers. Thanks for all your photos, which are the nest best thing to being there. Belated Happy Anniversary to Eagle Duo. Glad you've finally moved Sandie. Your new place sounds perfect. I'm sure you'll love it once you unpack and unload. Nothing like a move to show you what you don't need! Penny, thanks for the Norfolk pictures. Those eagles are almost too beautiful for words. Deb, aw...Ewango.

We are home for our day with the Cumbrians at Wild Animal Park. It was wonderful spending the day with them, but it was HOT! 100 degrees hot! Yikes! We got there early and rented a scooter so I wouldn't hold them back seeing everything, which really helped a lot! Man oh man, did we ever see everything! We all went through lots and lots of water.....although we had cokes at lunchtime and they tasted soooooooooooooooooo good! But we traveled from one end of the part to the other. We all used lots of sunblock also, but I think I still managed to get a slight sunburn. Not sure if anyone else did or not. I have over 150 pictures to sort through and I know Pat & Roy have more than that.....they had 3 cameras they were taking pictures with! |
