Hi all....thanks for all the special birthday wishes and graphics. I just am at a loss as to how you all do that. Amazing.

Went to Brophy Bros for lunch today. So nice sitting on the deck outside. It's becoming more familar to the tourist trade now but not as busy as in the past. Then we went to the beach park up the street and hung out there watching the ocean etc. I think I saw a whale spout. Paul said they may still be some out there. Yes I had on my glasses.
I love your little kitty avtar with the green glasses. My visiting kitty is grey. I thought it was black. My shoes and glasses were together.....go figure.

Pat What does cusp mean? Do you know about that stuff???

Peetie I missed your video link???? I'd like to see that

Lala poor little peacocks. I wish I could take one. They make really great "watch animals" if anyone is interested in that. And they bring you babies every year huh lala.

Penny when do you actually leave for home. It seems you just got here! I always get my "extra" suitcases from a thrift store and then when I get back I re-donate them. It's lots cheaper. But of course you have already gone shopping and my sage advice is lost for this time.

I am really loving the beach believe me. It's so much cooler here than my apt. OK now to the next part of my birthday....I have to go to school for extra credit for my alternative medicine class. My instructor brought in a vertrabrae of a whale last night. It was huge compared to our little bodies.

I'll be back later. I think this is from 7=9. I hope I make it I am really tired. Got a lot of ouchies from the move. I'll be glad to slow this pace down a little real soon

Oh, Lala I need those directions to the nest in Malibu. I'm going there tomorrow can you please email them to me??

Paul would have taken pic's of me today but his camera is broken. We left it at the hospital in Santa Barbara. That's ok....Jann's pic's will do just fine thank you!

EEEEKKKKK I'll be late. At least I have my shoes and glasses......I'm off.

Linda, when the mother hatches the baby chickens, I put her and the chickens in the hen house.. last year I had a home for her three baby peacocks as soon as they hatched... I think for me, it would be too hard taking the 7 babies away from her as they stay very close to each other for over a year.. her two babies from two years ago are still calling for her now that she is away on a nest.. very sad cries...I guess I do it for myself as I can't take the peacocks away from her once they hatch... the baby chickens I can keep...and she can be with them forever...also, if I take the peacocks away when they hatch, she will just go hide and lay more eggs and start all over... this way she feels she has gone through her cycle of laying eggs, hatching them and then mothering....We have 4 males and 2 females on a small hill here in Oak View, with 5 houses... we all agree that what we have is fine, bordering on too much already....

Very interesting, Lala. I never knew that the peachicks want to stay with mom for so long. I can see how you could easily end up with a whole flock of peacocks. How funny that they think the chickens are their own!

The geese fought the eagles and won?!?!?!  Amazing!  Geese fly - why would the goslings have a problem getting down from the nest once they fledged?

Right, Kathie. Let's see - - -- webs vs. talons. Flat beaks vs. hooked beak. Something smells fishy here! <:::

Now... who would just love a baby peacock to raise???? As I have said before, we are at our limit here on the hill so no new babies....seems sad, but mom peacock is happy with her chicks.... I seriously need to find a home for peachicks

Hi, Linda!! :}^ Pkg. arrived today and check will be in mail. I've ordered something for your girls and when it arrives, I will send it with your napkins! :D
I have a close neighbor who has chickens, turkeys, goats, etc. So we'll take a couple or 3 of those peachicks. Could you possibly make one a male?? rofl

We are going on Monday the 27th...same day as the Cumbrians but on a different airline. We may even run into them at the airport as the Canadian planes leave from the same area, but they are going earlier than we are so we may miss them.

Thanks for that advice Sandie
although we needed another new bag anyway. Too many plane rides do not make for undamaged luggage and we will need it for the next trip to Montreal in May for DS's graduation. :D
