I have noticed that Wray's head feathers are variable in color. Is this because she is younger than the others? If not, do other birds have this coloration difference as well? I've seen younger birds with Darker feathers, but hers seem to be beige in color. Is this common as well? |

Wray is one of the oldest eagles, she's in her mid twenties. Her experience as a mother is evident with her years. Dianna was the other female on the nest and disappeared last year.
She two was an older eagle. I hope that helps. Last year Wray was a total redhead, she had got into some sort of critter, maybe a dead sea lion, and it stained her head read for most of last season.
