With the TH nest being where you were able to just walk up to it, what keeps predatory animals from being able to walk in, especially now that the eaglets are wandering off onto the "porch" a lot? Judy |

The largest predator is the island fox, which is about the size of a housecat. The eagles outweigh them and the adults would protect their eggs and small chicks from the foxes. |
