Steffani -- Another wonderful update. It's been interesting to learn that when these eaglets take their first flight, the parents are not far behind. You're videos are wonderful and give us insight how their world works. So, we have 6 females and 2 males. Wow! I thought we might have more WE girls. I'm really glad you found the transmitter and not K88. I'll think positive and hope we see him in another update. Have a great week and thank for you all you and IWS crew do! Vickih |

Dear Steffani, Thanks for the update. Looks like Girl Power this season in terms of the Catalina eaglets! And happy/sad news that they are starting to leave the nests. <sniff> They are so much fun to watch but they need to start soaring. I hope every last one of the decides to stay on the island. Yeah, fat chance, right? Thanks for keeping us up-to-date on all the "kids." /auri |

Thank you for such a detailed update, Steffani. You'll be able to see the eaglets much more often than all the web cam viewers, so we'll be counting on your news, photos, and videos even more. Glad to read that K-88 is fine and has just dropped his transmitter. Blessings to all the eaglets and the team as the chicks begin to fledge and leave their nest areas.

Thanks for a truly awesome update I was ducking my head when you were at WE with especially when you put the back on the nest Where oh where was your helmet with the eagle eyes painted on the back???? Wray and certainly had a work out that day too  Great to see the other fledglings and so glad to hear K-88 is still flying free although now it is going to be hard to tell who he is once he leaves for the mainland. Stay safe on your future hikes to check up on all the eaglets ![]() Love the itty bitty beanie wing blings |
