Has anyone been able to track 98 at this point? Should we be worried about her being absent for so long? I thought they usually returned to the nest soon after fledging--at least to eat... thanks! |

I believe it was several days...if not a week...before Cruz returned to her nest in 2006. She was a very late "fledger"...we thought she'd never leave...and then thought she'd never return! |

There are plenty of other places to perch out there, and the adults will bring food to them, or the fledglings will follow the adults that have food. We've never had a problem with a bird between fledging and leaving their parents' territory, which takes about a month. |
