Karen and all others in "hot" country - hope you can stay cool with AC.

Cheryl - so sorry to hear about the loss of #902 - every loss is hard - thanks for posting the pics - they are so beautiful.

Topa - Your Plumeria is so beautiful - can almost catch the fragrence - now I know the secret.

Eaglehandler - Couldn't believe all your dad and you along with him has gone thru with his heart - hope he continues to feel better.
Love the video of Precious and her eggs.

Lala - Great pics of your family get together - sounds like picnic episodes got more and more interesting - just love the pic of Scout having an overnighter with the boys.

Penny - sounds like little squirrel is making a pest of himself - but giving you lots of photo ops.

Deb - I'm sure your dedication to sending EM's to parents and grandparents puts their mind at ease - what an experience for the Scouts.

I volunteered at the Zoovies (movies at the zoo) last night - really good turnout - parking lot about 2/3 full - lots of the animals still out - really nice big blow up screen for the movie - I watched for a while all the way at the back - almost like being at the drive-in without the car - people could bring blankets or "low" back chairs - one side set up for blankets only and other set up for chairs and blankets.

Deb - DH saw you and Dr. Sharpe on Untamed and Uncut again last night - when it came on he said to himself, "I know those people." Good IWS is still getting noticed on Animal Planet.

Zoovie's that's cute.
I've notice in all my wedding research that the SB Zoo is a popular wedding site.
DD said she has seen wedding receptions at the zoo.

Here's the link.. http://www.santabarbarazoo.org/wedding_gallery.asp

Speaking of zoos, America's first zoo, The Philadelphia Zoo has a rather small area so that its easy to go see everything. However, in the economic downturn they not only dont have the money but the necessary space to continue keeping thier elephants with a new enclosure for them.

So this last week the last two elephants both in thier mid 20s were relocated to the Pittsburgh Pa Zoo. At least they will have a nice new home to live out thier days but i do hope that they will finally build a new facility for elephants as the ones we have had have always been a visitor favorite. Espeically with the very young kids.

Trivia tidbit too,, Danny Bonaduce's, Danny Partridge's of the partridge family tv show, father was curator of mamals at the philly zoo. Even actor kevin bacon's , as in the six degrees game, father edmond bacon was an internationally renound urban planner who helped give the City of Philadelphia, its look today.
