The original is my favorite, George.  The three small buildings at the waters edge seem to have sad faces.

Thanks, Lala, for giving me a bit more info on the bird house.  I love the old wood, and no wonder, it's 20 years old!!!

Chiquita

I am sort of torn between the two but do like the original. the face like buildings at the waterline are the old philadelphia water works which was one of the first in the usa. For years philly water was referred to as Schuylkill River Punch. There has been some restoration done to the water works and one of the buildings is now a rather pricey restaurant.

The water works was built in 1812. here is a brief paragraph about it from thier site

The Fairmount Water works was constructed in 1812 to pump water out of the Schuylkill River to serve the bustling City of Philadelphia. As Philadelphia rose into an industrial powerhouse, it was the first large American city to regard the delivery of safe water as a municipal responsibility. Powered by the river, pumps raised water into reservoirs high atop a nearby hill, Faire Mount. Almost from the day the waterwheels began turning, the graceful neoclassical buildings and beautiful grounds made the place an international tourist attraction renowned for melding nature and technology.

I have a question for all you who upload to YouTube.  Are you able to do the Privately (password needed)?  I don't want to put the kids out in the public.  I'm in the process of making a movie (she says with her fingers crossed) and it will be too big for PhotoBucket or email.  The only other thing I know about is YouTube.

The other thougth would be to burn it yourself to DVD or to CD if your computer has a cd/dvd burner as a component. Then all you would have to do is burn it from your hard drive onto the cd or dvd which would reduce any concerns over privacy on such sites as pb or you tube.

I burn most of my images onto CD's that i want to archive and a cd will hold alot of jpg or RAW files so its easier to store and take up less space. In the good ole days all my negatives were filed into sleeves and put into three ring binders sometimes with a contact sheet with any lab notes for a shot(s) i had printed in case i wanted to make a reprint later.

But then, George........... what would I do if I wanted to show it to you????????????

anyone here hear about a relatively new site called, "VIMEO"? It popped up several times when I searched 'privacy video site', or some such thing. It sounds pretty good to me and I would appreciate your views.

I am always cynical of anything supposedly "private" on any computer system. which is why anything "juicy" such as a governor's love notes to his action on the side should never be sent via email as recent events have shown. If that can be gotten by a hacker i am sure supposedly private, for whatever reasons, stored or accessible online can be hacked if the persons wanting to get the files wants to spend the time

When i hosted live chats, i would sometimes look at a profile of a young user and would be suprirsed with some of the information i saw on thier profiles. For example " 9th grade soccer at zilch high in zilchville, arkansas" or other similar information that could make those who have "naughty ideas" more easily able to find them as a potential target.

This seems to also be a vulenerabilty for ladies who could attract creeps or have had problems with stalkers. Information on a kids profile is much the same way as a single lady listing her name as "Ms josephine jehovahsatz" instead of as "j jehovasatz" in the phone could make her a target.

Like a mobster once said, "never put anythin in writing"

Sorry for this brief lecture on on line safety but i have seen the crap hit the fan to some folks in another forum and it cuased them alot of grief and we all dont need that nor do we want to see it happen to anyone here either.
