Penny, your squirrel looks like a young one... so cute in the bird feeder... :)^

Harpo, good for you for taking the time to be with a friend in need... and giving good advice.. It is such a relief to have my parent's affairs in order.. and they just recently had their Living Trust done... I don't suggest anyone wait until their 90's for that important job.. but now I can do their banking for them and it is such a relief to my mom... Good advice Deb...

Deb...what a cool slide! Looks like lots of fun and everything is sooo green! It's just beautiful! Hope you will be posting more pics.

That squirrel is just toooo cute! I love watching them! We were up at a cabin in the mts when my kids were little and there were tons of squirrels around. My mom and dad came with us and my dad would go out in the morning with peanuts and hand feed the squirrels! He'd just sit on the floor of the deck and wait with his hand out and they would run over and take the peanuts  It was so cute!

What a cool coyote! Very brazen they are becoming! Sharon and Ozzie Osborn just lost one of their little doggies to a coyote on the day of MJ's memorial on tv. They were watching the memorial at the time and didn't hear the commotion. Ozzie had saved another of his dogs awhile back, grabbing right out of the coyote's mouth. But they are only looking for food.

I have a story about coyotes. When my niece was learning to talk and learning the names of animals she had a Farmer Says toy. You turn the arrow and it stops on an animal and it tells you what the animal is and makes the sound of that animal. Her's had a coyote on it but she couldn't say coyote...she called it a pie-doh-tee. So that is what we call them now  And when Jim worked at a construction yard they had a dog that was 1/2 coyote as the yard dog. His name was Odie so Jim and I called him Odie the Pydohtee. He was the cutest ragamuffin dog and was so good.

One of the most perfect and unspoiled places on earth... Tuolumne Meadows...
The roads are closed for 7 to 8 months out of the year.. opening sometime in late April or early June... everything is pristine and georgeous!! The deer are everywhere and still snowy... it is the largest sub-alpine meadow in the Sierra Nevada... elevation 8,575... some drifts of snow are 20' deep in the winter.. <3

Karen, beautiful moon last night... very orange... and I too have a friend just this week that e-mailed me about her cat she has had for so long, killed by a coyote... she is so distraught... she's in Ojai... not the coyote's fault... its their area too and anything they can catch is food for them and their pups.... I hear them at night down near the river....yelping...

Country singer, Alan Jackson, is selling his home in Tennesse called Sweetbriar. Listed for $38M it is the most expensive property in Tennessee. Take a look...it's gorgeous!!!!! I so wish I had $38M just lying around cause it is just the type of home I would love to have. Of course, you would have to have a staff to clean it and maintain the grounds and 4 ponds, but if you can afford a $38M home, you can certainly afford the staff! But I would want to have all the furnishings with it, excepting their personal stuff and memorabilia, of course.

Lala, you can see a star on the left, also, if you squint hard enough  At first I thought it was a speck on my computer screen but it wouldn't come off. That is when I realized it was a star...oh, maybe its a planet....Jupiter?

That is a gorgeous place, Lala! I have seen signs for it but never knew how it was pronounced. Is the snow still there or has it all melted?

I've been reading here about family members or other loved ones that have not prepared for the future. "Preparation is Effeciency" as my mother would say. Sometimes things happen suddenly and often times no one knows where bank accounts are, is there a power of attorney, is there a will and have arrangements been made for the funeral or burial. Years and years ago, while on a trip to Avalon, my mother took a little walk down the street to the City Hall on Metropole, sat down with the City Clerk and looked at the map of plots available and picked hers out and paid for it then and there...a pittance compared to prices on the mainland. In a drawer she kept all of her necessary papers relating to her funeral costs which she had all paid up in full. It makes things go so much easier when all things are in place when the time comes. It's a hard thing to talk about but "Preparation is Effeciency".

nice photo Lala

amended: wonderful photos Lala - breathtaking

Yes Chiquita - grief is enough to deal with or hard choices are enough to deal with - if the other things are already addressed, ones energy can be focused where it really needs to be .....
