Good morning Peep's. The beginning of a brand New week. Let's make it a good one. Today is Fool's Paradise Day. Spoke to Peetie and I think we've lost her to the Farm Town. She met New friends there from all over the World. What a sweet lady. So sad. George when is the Dressage at Devon? Are you interested in going to the Dog Show I sent you the information on yesterday? We met another couple (patient's) last night for dinner. He is a Retired Lt. Gen. in the Army, and had served in Viet Nam. He also sings, but needs some help. His selection of songs are out of his range. He doesn't project and doesn't shade at all. So I am going to try to help him with those this week. He is in a Competition next week. He wasn't the worst, but has a decent voice. Just needs a little fine tuning. |

Good Morning Eagle Peeps![]() Hope your day will be especially rewarding. Christopher glad to hear you are 'raring to go' today ![]() Here's a little humour to start off your Monday I love this Doctor Q: Doctor, I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it... don't waste them on exercise. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap. Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn.. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products. Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake? A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up! Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc. Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry.. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good! Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! ..... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you? Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach. Q: Is chocolate bad for me? A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans ! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around! Q: Is swimming good for your figure? A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me. Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle? A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape! Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets. 'Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO, What a Ride' |

For those of you who watch what you eat, here's the final word on nutrition and health. It's a relief to know the truth after all those conflicting nutritional studies. 1. The Japanese eat very little fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 2. The Mexicans eat a lot of fat and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 3. The Chinese drink very little red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 4. The Italians drink a lot of red wine and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. 5. The Germans drink a lot of beers and eat lots of sausages and fats and suffer fewer heart attacks than Americans. CONCLUSION Eat and drink what you like. Speaking English is apparently what kills you

So sorry to read about what happened to your step DIL's little dog Jill
and glad to hear pilot Michael is not seriously hurt from the accident. Actually, it's a very good thing he was in a truck or things could have been far worse. Did the other driver have a heart attack? ![]() |

Eaglepedia Revisited January 8, 2007 Immature eagles do their own thing, semi-directed "wandering" during the first 3 years. They learn to survive, experience what is out there, seeming to travel around with other eagles, checking them out and seeing what they are doing. This will expose them to toher eagles, habitats and places! The immature is always looking for the easiest food source and will wander both summer and winter but they are able to find their way back to their natal area. It is believed that they can do this based upon distinct geographic features that they recognize. As long as they have suitable habitat and plenty of food, there is no rush to move to another site. Adult eagles, however, no matter the weather conditions or food availability at their nesting site, will return rapidly because their biological clock is telling them breeding time is pending. The hormonal drive to initiate nest building and courtship overwhelm the difficulties in finding food during this period or finding adequate shelter during inhospitable weather conditions that may exist. http://www.learner.org/jnorth/tm/eagle/WeatherNye.html ![]() "We were here first so just move along - no more room!" Dog show sounds as if it would be fun to view if i can handling the logistics to get to it that is. Dressage at Devon is Sept 22 thru 27 Hmm for the Lt Gen, shame he couldnt do "! am the model of a very modern major General" from Gilbert & Sullivan I am the very model of a modern Major-GeneralI've information vegetable, animal, and mineral I know the kings of England, and I quote the fights historical From Marathon to Waterloo, in order categorical.... OF course the lyrics could be changed to Modern Lieutennant General and other changes made I couldnt resist that, it was too wide a doorway to just pass on by and not take the opening

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ![]() Greetings! I actually had time to give myself a manicure this morning! DH and I both have a dental appointment today for a six month regular cleaning. We got past the bad stuff last year, and we plan to keep it that way. The office is so funny. They always book him (today at 2PM) and me (today at 2:30 PM). So when we get the appointment slip in the mail, we know it's for both of us.Then get lunch and drop DH home and I will head for the grocery store (if I take DH, we will need a second fridge) Have a great day all... |
