love the eagle updates - tiny LOL
george very nice photos

I'm not worried about ES but Phil is beginning to get my attention :o I didn't look at the type of book - eegads! where did he get that .........

they finally left Dallas and are about half way to Albqu. they have a busy day once they are there - visiting Atomic Museum - then to Olde Towne and then a ride to the top - Sandia Peak and a hike along the rim to an old stone hut

then fun time at the hotel - swim, hot tub, games, sleep! LOL

George, always love your flower shots (That Bachelors Button the other day was 3D!) :)^

Had to share a shot I took this morning. I have a planter on the railing of our deck which has succulants in it. It was a little too sunny, so I got some artificial flowers to stick in and it gave it a little more shade.

This morning, I started to water this planter, when I saw something dark start moving around under some of the green (thought it might be a frog or lizard) :o . I watched as it climbed one of the stocks to dry off...

You know your dh loves you when he takes your eagle beanie on vacation with him AND takes pictures to email home! rofl rofl

Hope the guys have fun in NM. It sounds like they have a lot planned for ABQ this afternoon. It will be hot when they get here - will be close to 100 degrees here today. It won't be quite so bad when they get up to Philmont. What a bummer about the one scout getting sick and having to stay home. I feel so badly for him!

thanks linda = I'll pass it on
actually Phil Sr. made two trips with ES to NM to hike

and then I put him in a safe place and haven't seen him since... :'( so Phil Jr. is making his first trip

The scouts and staff love him - he ends up with a whole photo album of his own! LOL

I sure do hope Phil shows up someday - he will be sad that he missed a trip to CA and another to NM! My dh loves me a lot, and puts up with a lot, but I just can't see him taking my beanies anywhere and taking pictures for me! I'm glad the other scouts get a kick out of it, too.

I whined a lot the first trip - I think they meant to put Phil in the locker but they ended up having so much fun with him the first couple days that he just went along! they really had a good time with him!

Phil Sr. in '07 trying to call me at home when he came off the trail in NM :<::

and an appropriate sign at a scout ranch don't you think!

can't wait to see what adventures Jr. has..... in '09
you can see "tent city" in the background where they will spend Monday night before hitting the trail and then the following week on Fri night - sleep here again before flying home on 8/1!

We've just finished a meeting with a fence installer and I am not a happy camper. :(
I should have known when he started talking about a 'whole new look' for my yard....translation....all the large trees around the perimeter need to be removed including the rock garden to make room so he can work on the fence :o

Guess what....he's not getting the job !!!

Hello....use the open area all around on the opposite side to nail on the boards!!!! The person who will have the problem will be the post hole digger guys....Yellow Pages here I come :P

That is a beautiful butterfly Marti :)^ Do you know what it is called? I guess your artificial flowers must look pretty real to entice him.

Linda I think you can spare a bit of your heat so send some of it to us :ok:
It is only 61F right now :( and we are on the way to a record 8 months in a row of below mean temperatures which is really unbelievable. Farmers are already getting insurance payouts here because they are unable to seed acreages which are still underwater from all the storms....count on the cost of wheat going up which means baked goods will also see price increases

Lovely flowers today again George :><: :><: :><: Did you get delivery of your medical supplies yet?

Go Phil Beanie Go
