The key to avoiding what is called "Red eye" is to keep the flash above the eyes of the subject or to use a bracket with the flash to one side some tips courtesy of Poplular Photography to avoid red eye: "Sometimes you have no choice but to use a flash-- here are some tips to prevent red eyes in your photos, especially when using point-and-shoots. • Have your subject look directly at a light source before the picture is taken-- constricting the pupils will help reduce red eye. • Have your subject look slightly to the left or right instead of straight into the lens. • Use an external flash mounted on a bracket to change the angle of reflection from the retina. From another resource i have: 1 Using bounce flash in which the flash head is aimed at a nearby pale colored surface such as a ceiling or wall or at a specialist photographic reflector. This both changes the direction of the flash and ensures that only diffused flash light enters the eye. 2. Placing the flash away from the camera's optical axis ensures that the light from the flash hits the eye at an oblique angle. The light enters the eye in a direction away from the optical axis of the camera and is refocused by the eye lens back along the same axis. Because of this the retina will not be visible to the camera and the eyes will appear natural |

Love the shot of Momma doggie feeding her charges whatever they are. Sweet. Deb the Scouts look like they are all having a ball. I worry about Phil though. Looks like someone there is a bad influence on him. Wednesday is a beautiful kitty too. The Butterflies are lovely especially the ones with the multi colored circles. The other is a Monach for sure. |

Goodnight Peetie. Sorry I wasn't in here that much today. Have things on my mind that I have to take care of. Still no News on Yellow. Reenie was up at 2 & 4 this morning and went out looking for her. She is her Guardian Angel for sure. |

Goodnight CatM. Sweet dreams to you. About Spaying. I am one who would wait 6 months, because of the effect the Anesthesia might have on small kitty. Tommy leaves Philly tomorrow and heads back to Indy. I won't see him for another year since when he's here at Christmas I'll be in Ga. with the rest of our family.

Sorry about all of the seperate Post's, but if I don't do it this way my computer freezes, and I loose everything. On some I used the Edit button to add more but it happens that way as well. It's not only here, but in another Forum too. So I know it's my computer. |

George what about Green Eye? Would one do the same to avoid that? I got green eye on my German Shepherd when I take her picture. She looks like she is possessed! Congratulations to our Milestone Posters today. You rock!

I think i too may call it a night. I may stay up until its dawn in Estonia to see "Spot" and his mom "Eha". Spot has started wingercising and has started to get some air time off the nest. Its astounding how similar yet so different the lesser spotted eagle is from our bald eagles and their cousins the White-Tail Sea Eagles. Ah dawn is almost upon Estonia at 0400am there now Estonian Lesser Spotted Eagle site with cam link |
