One looks just like yours. I looked it up and think it is a pipevine swallowtail. I love how the top and bottom have different colors and patterns.

:}^ Hi Jojo - That is amazing about different patterns on top and bottom. Mine was just sitting there with his wings together. Couldn't see the top. I will watch for them. Thanks so much for the post! :)^ Going back now to check out your link. Have a great day!

Linda,
The girls will LOVE it!
The butterflies tend to land on people wearing bright colors - particularly yellow through reds. There was one girl wearing a plastic lei with yellow & red flowers. The butterflies tried to feed on the lei.
I tried :clk: , but didn't get a photo of her. I didn't want to disturb her moment.

Just read Saanich forum and all 3 fledglings are doing well. Parents have made about 6 food
drops to both the new and old nest, all eaglets are full.

Thanks Carole ... super video of the eagles bathing.

I have to smile ... I live here ... but both you and Penny can still find more information about what is happening here on VI .. than I do! :D

  I get the news from various forums that I have to check for "Eagleland". I just loved how they splashed around and really seemed to enjoy it.

LaLa - Alan and I were rooting for Tom too, after missing the putt on the 18th, he just fell apart. I feel so bad for him, but if someone else had to win, Stewart Cink is a great guy.
