That's a cool shot, Deb! Those places are scary to me. I don't see how people actually lived in those cliffs. I am so terrified of heights!

:X:  :X:  :X:  :X: Tom Watkins  :X:  :X:  :X:  :X:

LaLa - Alan and I were rooting for Tom too, after missing the putt on the 18th, he just fell apart. I feel so bad for him, but if someone else had to win, Stewart Cink is a great guy.

Carole, I feel the same way... and 2nd place is something he never expected I am sure... he is a big winner in my book!!

MY-T-FINE roses there!!!! :)^ :clk:

Very effective use of depth of field too in the red rose shot! This sort of shot i would use the Apeture Automatic mode to get the desired "look"

The "Spray bottle trick" is a very usefull tool used by alot of professional shooters. Some shots the water droplets can make a more "Generic" shot just pop out at the viewer and grab them into the shot. If well used it can be very very effective :)^ :><: :><: :><:

The pink 'roses' are actually ivy geranium.. the blooms 1/2 inch... I used the opened blooms as background color... Micro 105mm... I started out by taking a picture of my morning glory that had been in the sprinkler.. then, got my mister bottle and couldn't stop... took a picture of every flower on the property!!! rofl

White rose is 'Iceberg'

My DH and I were looking at your roses. He asked how close you were to the flowers? I know you use a special lens. But how close to the roses was the camera?
