OMG what a day on the Hornby nest - the fish have been coming in one after the other after the other.  I think we are up to 15 ><'>  now, and it's only 3pm nest time.   :8O:  I'm not sure how Hope is going to fledge with her own weight in fish loading her down

Ian - Hope is going to have to pay a visit to the Eaglespa or Eaglecurves to lose some of the baby fat or fish fat before she takes the big plunge to fledging. rofl

What is with all that noise with chainsaws and equipment near the nest, it is so annoying to me but obviously doesn't seem to bother the eagles.

I think they said they are jackhammering on a new lot to put in a septic system - I think they were supposed to be done soon. Even Hope can't seem to quite drown it out sometimes

Thanks for posting those Lala now I know just which ones to look for when I go!! I expect to see a lot of blue plastered on those photos!!! I can't wait.

Enteries for the Ventura County Fair will be Fri, Sat, and Sun (this week) so come on down and enter what you made!! If you made it we'll find a spot for it. Even if you don't know what category....we'll help you decide. Or you can come down and volunteer your time to take enteries. We feed ya and give you free passes to enter the fair. And during the fair you can be a hostess for a couple of hours and also receive free passes. Pick the entertainment you want to see and be a hostess for that day and get in free!!! I'll be working in Home Arts all three days.

DD and I went fishing on the pier both days this weekend. Rotten day Saturday but yesterday was picture perfect. Caught lots of fish Sunday. Showed three young men how to catch fish yesterday. It was fun to watch them try.

Will post pictures a little later.

Don't forget Sandi.. No telling me before the fair opens  :o Sandi gets to come and go like one of the officials at the fair.. she knows everyone there..... Good luck Sandi on your table.. You know I will take pictures...

Linda, Linda, I know there will be blue ribbons all over your work! As I recall I saw quite a few last year. :<:: You're so humble! I think you're one of the best photographers and artists I've ever seen. Remember, I come from a family of Aerial photographers, and my uncle was a professional photographer. I'm just blown away by your work. :><: :><: :><: :><:

Summer, I only got two ribbons last year.. a 2nd place and the best one which was a first place and Best of Division.. for one pic.. which makes up for the other 8 that didn't get anything... it really is hard because there are so many great photographs ... but I don't get 'gobs' of blue ribbons.... would be nice... can't be greedy....

Yes Pat, that was on my mind when I saw the dragon.. 'Puff' as I would call him.. the dog was a sweetheart and when he walked off while I was talking to his owner, I had no idea he was off to fetch his fav toy to share with me.... Thanks for my favorite view of the nest.. <3

Ah yes, the old e-branch. One of my favorite moments of the e-branch, as little Limuw trying to balance on it like Mom and Dad did. Do we know if it broke off, or is buried under the growing height of the nest?

I think it is intact.. the camera seems to be what changed....

Summer ... I believe it started to bend over with the weight of the branches ... and of course with the height of the nest, it is now below the rim ... and we can no longer see it.

It was my landmark when we did the 'death march' to the nest in 2007.

.... and Lala is correct ... in 2006 we looked straight onto the nest ... and the E branch was on the right side.

Then the new camera was installed so we were now looking across the nest and the branch was not as visible.
