Happy friday all and the Weekend is almost upon us!

Even the birds want to leave their daily grind behind and go off on vacation as was reported by our local AM news radio station , KYW1060 am

Phila. Zoo Bird Flew the Coop

by KYW's Mike DeNardo

Keep your eyes open for a bird that flew the coop at the Philadelphia Zoo.

Zoo officials sent out a press release stating that a sun conure went missing. The bird was part of a collection of tropical birds from the zoo's Festival of Flight bird show.

Zoo spokesman Bill Larson:

"The birds are trained to fly from perch A to perch B, but sometimes they get distracted or frightened in some way and fly off, so we're very worried about this bird."

So what does the bird look like?

eaglepedia revisited

August 9, 2007

The flight of the Bald Eagle is deliberate, steady and slow. They are very agile flies, performing spectacular aerial maneuvers sometimes. The wings are held horizontally at right angle from the body as they soar and glide. They are a little more social than most raptors, congregating in areas where food is abundant during the winter months. Partial migrant - northern populations migrate south, other populations remain sedentary. Juvenile eagles (especially the males) travel and wander from place to place, part of the learning process as they prepare for sexual maturity and the rest of their lives. Adults have established routines and regular places they visit when traveling about each year.

Scientists have studied the unpredictable wanderings of young eagles. They can disperse in any direction, apparently learning their own migration patterns. The juveniles do seem to remember where they have been and many find the places where they will spend most of their winters and where they will establish their territory when the time comes.

Today is Cousin's Day. Haven't seen mine in months. Guess I should look them up tonight afer work.

George loved your version of Little Bo Peep last night, and the missing Conure that escaped the Phil. Zoo.

LaLa I'd wait before I went on a Spending Spree. I got another call yesterday after I had cleared everything up the previous day. I don't think the right hand knows what the left is doing there. So I called again last night and they said everything was fine! So I asked if I could Bid/Buy anything and she told me to call e-bay on that!

I haven’t seen any of my cousins in over 10 years. Part of the reason is that they all live east of the Mississippi and I live in New Mexico. I keep in touch by phone or snail mail with many of them. When I was working on the family genealogy a few years ago, I found too many cousins to count – I only have 10 fingers and toes. rofl I know all of my first cousins (15); a few of my first cousins once removed (30); and some of my second cousins (I stopped counting). As you may have guessed, I come from a very large family.

DH was able to solve the water leakage problem quickly yesterday - thanks for thinking of him - it still took him all morning to dig down to the problem thru the "muck" they call dirt here on the Mesa of SB - it was a simple fix once he got there - found when he connected the water system he installed to the main city system he didn't use enough glue to seal the joint and so the leakage - so happy he didn't have to remove his rock/catcus garden.
BBL - have to get to w**k.
HAVE A GREAT FRIDAY EVERYONE!
