Karen - love the name of your boat and wishing you a happy birthday - wow you're right what a way to spend it!

Laurie any sighting of an eagle is great - close far in between!

nearly done here - have to take Trin to MIL's and one or 2 little things yet to wrap up

DS got his "new" car - he bolted the body onto the frame - borrowed his dad's tires - towed it home to the garage and now will begin to redo the poor little thing top to bottom - he's thrilled

he slipped the fenders back on just to see - now he'll dismantle the whole thing - oh well! LOL It's a 1957 oval window - he's now the 3rd owner! they guy who sold it to him - well actually his dad owned the car but he just couldn't bring himself to come say good-bye after owning it all these years!

SO my DS promised in a year that when it's rebuilt and running - he'd bring the car back and take the Dad for a ride after all these years! :'(

Laurie sorry to hear your vacation was not as restfull as it should have been. Tell us all about it when you can. Hula was in here about a week or so ago, and Posted one Post.

Peetie get a good nights sleep so you can have more fun with the boys tomorrow.

LaLa great pictures of the varied diet. Bummed me out a little about the Butterfly, but I understand about the Food Chain.

Cricket, the weather was horrible. Couldn't get out and enjoy the things we usually do. The first two weeks it rained, hailed, thundered, lighting, cold temps and very very windy. We had to use the wood stove three times during the first two weeks.

Let's see what else, oh yes, DH was attacked by bees in a nest outside our entry door. He was putting a tarp up so that we could at least use the BBQ. Hammered a nail into the eves and the bees didn't like that. He's never had an allergic reaction before but for some reason had sort of a reaction to the sting, glad I keep benedryl around for that reason.

On another day DH was again putting the tarp up so we could use he BBQ - it was raining quite heavily. He decided to stand on one of those plastic out door chairs, which of course callapsed, (he's very impatient and didn't go to the shed and get the step stool  He broke his pinky finger and I think may have slightly dislocated his hip. He managed to get up and walk but was in a lot of pain, of course he's stubborn and wouldn't get in the boat and go to the hospital, he walked around and finally the hip went back into place. He was in pain for a couple days but much better now.

So second week of vacation our friends who always spend a week with us brought their grandson with them. . . . :dvl: :dvl: With all the rain we had that week we were pretty much stuck inside. 4 days straight it downpoured. Can you imagine being in a small cabin with a :dvl: ish 7 year old. The grandparents just let him do what ever he wants. Made me crazy. By the end of the week I was really stressed out and DH took them to the caves for an afternoon to give me a break. Company didn't help out much with any cooking or cleaning. I was beat when they finally left and told DH that they are just to much to handle for a full week and maybe next year we'll only ask them for a long weekend.

This last week the temps have been warmer but it rained at somepoint almost everyday.

I can't wait to go back to work to rest up.

How adorable is that car??? It'll take some work tho. I guess he'll have some help? I wouldn't know where to begin. Deb when do you leave???? I thought it was today or was that ES coming back?

Karen that just sounds like an awful time and should not be included in your vacation book of memories. More like nightmares!!!

Peetie it seems like you could not be more delighted with all the family around. I would feel the same way.

I got "pooped out" today. I prefer to remain busy and we were anything but busy today. I worry sometimes about the fair. I see the entry decline every year. A good friend of mine who worked the table settings and the creative writing dept died. I really liked her and she always did such a good job and cared so much about everyone.....she will be greatly missed by me.

My friends are here from Techappi (sp?) and I went over to the RV park the other day and spent some time with them. They are a great couple and were good friends of my XDH.

So Lala I have not seen you yet. Did you get your entries done? I was wondering about you all day today!! :Hugs: The birdies are just priceless with their little beaks open. Reminds me of DD when she was little. She'd open her mouth that wide all the time.

I hope Cricket's advice helps with the plumbing problem. Yikes.....no one wants a toilet stopped up. Plumbers are expensive people.

OK may be back later. Right now I feel a nap coming on!!!
