 Sandie, I would love to see a photo of your tatting... That fascinates me and some day I will get to try it. My great grandmother used to do tatting.

Hope you are having a great :bday: Karen. Your video of Wednesday is very funny...spaz cat maybe, but she is smart enough to try and find the other cat behind the mirror rofl

I had heard about that wedding video Nancy but hadn't gone looking for it. Thanks for posting it here. What a wonderfully unique way to make the wedding entrance so special :><: :><: :><:

Sandie your afghan throw looks much more delicate than the other one in a very similar color. :)^ Is that how they are going to be on display???? or is it just for the judges so they can handle them? They need to be stretched out on some sort of display board with a plain background so the stitch pattern pops and you can see the intricate patterns of each one.

Did you get the plumbing issue resolved for your tenant Marti?

Here are a few of The Artful Bra's on exhibit at the Ponema Art Center....a small beach community on Lake Winnipeg. Over 120 submissions so far and they are still arriving :)
A Luring - self explanatory

Stained glass Sunflowers - beautiful but very heavy :P

The Ponema Pier - surrounded by clouds with fish swimming in the water below :)^

I voted this one 'Best In Show. There were five catagories. Most Amusing, Most Creative, Best in Show, Prettiest, and Most Outlandish. For $1 you got five 'tickets' to write a number of your choice on each and drop them in the appropriate container. It was not easy to choose because there were so many amazing ones there. :D

Spectators were thrilled Saturday to see three bald eagles soar through sunny skies at Mason Neck State Park in Lorton.

The birds were recently rescued and cared for by volunteers and park officials who have taken on the mission to help repopulate the area with the American symbol that was once endangered.

Sara Allison took care of one eagle which was brought to the park after taking a tumble out of its nest during a rainstorm in June in Stafford County. Allison helped set it free Saturday.

"I'm ecstatic about it," she says. "It is so wonderful and shows how great this country can be when we truly put our minds to something, and saving these endangered species is great."

Allison's enthusiasm was shared by others who gathered at the park.

"Today is a celebration not only for the opportunity to return the eagles to the wild, but to celebrate the success of conservation initiatives like the Endangered Species Act--- which is a perfect example of what we can do when we care," says Ed Clark, president of the Wildlife Center in Virginia.

Sandie - your afghan is beautiful - it's a Blue Ribbon winner in my eyes - what fabulous work you do.

I bet Zoey is having the time of his life visiting his human step mom and waiting for his human baby to arrive and grow up with.

Deb - Praying the rain will stay far, far away from you.

Peetie - Such handsome boys your nephew and DS - glad you are finally getting to spend quality time with your nephew.

Penny - That plane was waaaay too close to Tiny and Hero.
Can never get too much of Xi Lan - thanks for posting the videos.

Karen - Your thoughts about the intruders were exactly what all of us were thinking as well - hope they can be found and dealt with - if they had tried that any sooner before the eaglets had fledged - don't want to think what might have happened.

What wonderful pics of the release of the 3 bald eagles into the wild.

Ozzie - enjoyed the video of the sweet baby elephant.

Loved the video of the baby rhino going to the rescue of his mom and scaring off the big bully.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAREN - HAPPY SAILING TO CATALINA. :}^ :bday:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VINAH - HOPE YOU HAD A VERY, VERY SPECIAL DAY AND LOTS OF FUN! :)^ :bday:

Loved the wedding video - hope they will continue dancing for years and years and years.

Penny those are hysterical.....amazing creativity

That picture of the eagle and the man......yikers no gloves???? Wow very brave.

Unfortunately we do not have room to display the afghans like that. I'll show you later when the fair opens how they are displayed. Right now they are just in their Divisions and Class for judging. They do a fabulous job of displaying everything. I'm no good when it comes to that.

One of the women there is going blind and will have to step down. She amazes me. She told another person she was too old and should give up coming! I was flabergasted. I am not happy she is going blind but I am thrilled she won't be there too much after this. She has no tact and hurts people with her words.

Marti I don't think so... you didn't see the others!!! :D I don't think so but thanks. I'll try to find a good picture of my tatting from before....or what I entered today. Bot that entry was just to keep the classification going. If we don't keep putting something in that class then they will take it out. So I just threw one in that I just slapped together. I did win blue ribbon one year for a collar I did.

I'm worried about Lala tho. I didn't see her today at the fair and I haven't seen her here today. I hope everything is ok.

Glad you enjoyed those Artful Bras Sandie. The funniest thing about it all was that when we arrived at this very tiny art center, there were 3 gentleman in there having tea amongst all the exhibits. I almost burst out laughing because it was so odd....they then moved outside to the old railway station museum. Their wives are volunteer caretaker/curators of the Art Center and they do the same for the Museum :D

Penny that is ADORABLE!!! Ir was funny to see guys in our area today too with all these dainty pieces of lace etc carrying them around the building locating their spots on the tables. One guy was a "biker" type with a few visible tatoos and very large muscles!! It was refreshing!!

Hmm with those bras, must they be wearable or are there no restrictions as to size weight etc??

Hmm, i should not but if anybody remembers those tunes such as "hooked on....." or "Stars on...." from the mid to late 70s?, here is just the title and artist of one in my warped tune collection

"Bras on 45" by, groaner alert! Ivor Biggun & The D Kupps

Of course there is one more which i think is actually a california based group the Temple City Kazoo Orhesctra's "Kazooed on Classics" which was or is a Dr Demento show favorite

Some of the bras are wearable George but most of them are 'arty' and would be impossible to wear

Your amazing assortment of weirdly odd records always makes me rofl too
:)^
