:><: Thanks for the update Steffani! So happy to hear that :<<>>: K88 is enjoying his travels! :)^ Also, thank you so much for your follow up and great explanation and added links to help us understand the rules and regulations regarding the necessity to protect the Bald Eagle nests. I am thrilled, beyond belief, that those young hikers were identified and will be properly charged for their intrusion. Whether it was an innocent mistake, or not, it is a lesson that they should have to pay for. I have to think that there are posted warnings all over the island trails and all.

I was just down in Ocean City, Maryland last week and I took my kids on a nature cruise by the bay and over to Assateaque Island. We docked on the island so the kids could use nets to catch and release, fish, crabs, snails, etc... Our tour guides were very specific in pointing out signs that were posted by the park rangers of the island where we could go and where we were not able to pass due to a nesting site of an endangered bird (I forget the name, but it was a bird's name with two words and each began with a P) The guides also mentioned the monetary punishment, etc... I just have to believe that the two men that were seen trespassing on the nest, must have been made aware of the possible fines, charges, etc... prior to stepping into the protected territor(ies). So, they should have to pay for their ignorance...imho. :**: :**:

<3 I also want to say that, once again, the Cruzers came through in a HUGE way! If it weren't for the  watchful eye of our dedicated eagle cam watchers, this crime may have gone unnoticed and future visits at even more delicate times of the nesting season could have occurred. :( Thank you so much for posting the videos and <::: alerting Dr. Sharpe and Steffani. Because of YOU, these intruders were identified and the Bald Eagles and eaglets were able to do what they are intended to do- make more Bald Eagles to successfully fledge and increase the Bald Eagle population. Thanks so much!!! :)^ :><: :soar: :soar: ^"^ ^"^
