Just got back from shopping with DH. He grumbled the whole way to the shop and spent half the time in the place muttering. (He hates shopping, he claims.) I found a small cylindrical pillow for myself ($3.99) and a serving dish that matches our good dinnerware ($9.99). I wonder how we spent almost $100.00 if only one of us likes to shop? rofl

(Un)fortunately, there was a Hobby Lobby next door and one of us HAD to go in. One of us ended up spending even more money on beads and wires (for fly tying).

I sure am glad DH hates shopping! rofl

Cat - I think most husbands hate shopping unless it's a sports store, Home Depot or a place that has his favourite candy.

Since DH and I have been going to Florida in the winter, he has changed. :8O: The sales down south are so great he has become a shopaholic. When a 50% off sale is on and you have a 30% off coupon and we get an 11% off discount because we are Canadian and then they further reduce the merchandise, he just can't resist a bargain if he needs it or not. He bought 6 beautiful shirts that were $90.00 each and got them for $7.50. I bought a pair of designer jeans that were $150.00 and paid $17.00. Even I can't resist as the sales at home aren't really giving you such a bargain. So........the USA has created a monster in my DH. rofl

Cat....I am the one that hates to shop. I was dating a guy once who LOVED to shop. We were on a trip and he had to stop at every outlet mall and shopping center we came to. I would find the nearest chair and sit and wait. The clerk came over in one place and asked me if that wasn't role reversal. I swear to you, he bought ONE cup. But not before he looked at EVERY ONE on the table to check for any nick or blemish. If one looks ok do you have to check out every one to see which one is best???? OMG I couldn't stand it.

Carole you may be in a little different position. With deals like that I could be encouraged to do a little damage to my wallet.

Now that I say that....I have to go shopping for my tablesetting stuff  Just not today....I've talked myself out of that idea already! :<:: :bld:

Oh, Lala..... :clk:

:clk: Great George....where was your seat??? I hope the Dr's appt comes with some kind and good news. It's no fun when you are hurting.

My seat was 33 rows up from the field right beind third base with a good view of the left handed batters and the phillies dugout. Was shooting with my 80-200mm zoom and a 2x teleconverter at iso 400,800 and finally 1600 as the sun was setting.

As for my foot doc today, no surgery yet. He wants to wait for the red spots to look better that are on my two feets. Diabetic Dermopathy is a skin condition of the subcutaneous capilaries which causes initially a scab and then heals to a red spot under the skin. Apparantly they form normally on areas of the body with minimal fat tissue below the skin such as on the shin, elbow and on the foot. Its not a serious problem in long term diabetics.

The concern for surgery is that the scabs when they fall or rub off do give an inroad to infection which is what the doctor is concerned about. As I am rather attached to my feet i would prefer to remain that way espeically after being on insulin for over 40 years and pushing the age of 50. It will be done when the doc thinks it is safe. Just like that old tune by Ruby and The Romantics, with the doctor "Our day will come"

Sandie, great news. Good luck with your table setting. Can't wait for :clk: .

Still waiting on Lala's :clk:

DH only likes to shop when there's something HE wants. Otherwise, it's best if I go shopping with the girls or by myself.

It's been a busy day today. Trying to get myself organized for the upcoming fall semester. I'm beat.

Going to my MIL's for dinner. :Yum: She's a great cook. I'm just guessing but when ever DH and I go for dinner she either makes a pumpkin roll or lemon meringue pie... I'm guess the pie this time. :Yum:

Catch you all later. . . :}^ :}^

Peetie, if you're out there. :}^ Miss you lots. :}^ :'(
