Hi - back for a little while - until DH gets hungry! Lala - are you earthlink? I have the customer support and customer service phone numbers. This is what was on their support web site: "Last Updated on: 08/04/2009 09:43:37 During this maintenance, Earthlink xDSL customers powered by EarthLink may experience loss of internet services such as e-mail or web sites, or receive password errors when trying to connect. We will keep you updated as this work progresses." Don't let them walk you through a bunch of testing. I told them today that I knew they were having problems, and I and other earthlink users were not happy. They asked if they could do anything for me. I said, send my message to management. I have been able to stay on this afternoon without a problem. |

It's my Friday, too. I have the day off tomorrow from both jobs to go to the Santa Barbara Fiesta parade. I've been to every one since 1976, so I can't break the streak. I always watch it down by the beach - so much cooler with the sea breeze, and all the participants are fresh. Since I live on the Mesa, I walk down about 10:30 through Leadbetter Beach parking lots where they stage the horses, the Sheriff's posses, and the floats, then over to the area by the Carriage Museum where the cowboys and stage coaches are. It's such a traditon. |

Bette, one year I rented a hotel room right on the parade route... we were on the 2nd floor balcony and some of the horses left the parade route and came onto the sidewalk to our balcony and the horses would paw the air with their front legs as if to greet us... man that was so much fun... then the march up State St. when the parade was done, for margaritas (for me)... shots for everyone else....until you get to the end, then a taxi back to the beach... that was only about 8 years ago.. not sure if I could keep up with that stuff today... I had friends that were long time SB Fiesta regulars who knew everyone in the parade... and stayed with us at the hotel.... |

Linda/lala - for the last 3 years, a business friend of mine on the Fiesta committee has given me tickets to the reserved seating on Cabrillo Blvd, and to the Horsemen's Rendezvous at the Carriage Museum, so that is what I partake of now. Sitting in the shade facing the beach, right by the parade announcers, sure beats sitting in the sun on the beach side. For years a friend of mine who had an office in El Paseo used to have a pre-parade spread in his office for friends and family. Memories. |

Linda - that is precious. Red suits him better, colorwise. He seems at ease with it.

I can't see the cam Laurie because this sign came up on the blank screen.... 'This content is unauthorized outside the United States' I have never seen that on any website I've ever been to before ![]() Maybe it's just because it is on Vinny's Website Blog ![]() Wish I could go to the Fiesta Parade...sounds like it is great fun for all ages
