Speaking of interesting websites....The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission updates this site every year ![]() Eagle Nest Locator If you live in Florida, put in your zipcode and it will tell you where any nests are located. You can also imput the radius you would like (ie: 19 miles, 5 miles etc.) and it will show you all of them in that area ![]() Now the burning question is....why are they doing this?

Penny - I think it was KarenTX who gave me a link of that - for any state. I have an eagles nest within 60 miles of where I am. If I was footloose and fancy free, I would take off and explore!

Maria called me and told me something, and now I am so upset I don't know what to do. Lisa use to live in Columbus too before she got married to Jerry. While Jerry was in Afghanistan Lisa was dating a Police Officer since she was not engaged, or going Steady at that point. She liked the Officer, but felt he was coming on too strong for her liking. Today he was shot in the Head in Afghanistan, and taken off Life Support shortly afterwards. He left behind a 10 y/o son from his 1st marriage, and a New wife too. He was a Home Town Hero in Columbus two years ago when a man who went off went in the Hospital, and took hostages killing babies, new mothers, Doctor's, and Nurses. This Officer was sent there as a Sharp Shooter on the Swat Team, and he was the one who killed the man with a single shot to the head. Oddly we lost him today the same way. May he rest in Peace, and his family find comfort in each other.

I got confused it wasn't the Officer, but rather the first man she met when she moved South a Sgt. Allen. Has a New wife, and a 10 y/o son. The childs mother is no where to be found. He had total Custody of him. Still a sad situation and may he rest in Peace. |

It is really sad that people stoop that low. How good can that person feel to win by submitting a photo that isn't even theirs. And to be so stupid...there are so many amazing photos that make the rounds on the internet - apparently that person didn't stop to think that many may have seen it before. I bet you won't be the only person to report this. |

Good for you for exposing that fraud artist Linda. Years ago, before the Internet, people could pull off stunts like that, but not anymore Maybe the person who submitted it has a 'mental disability' otherwise how could they not realize they would be found out????

But this goes to show you about judging... this is a 'famous' picture that has won many major awards for the photographer... and our local judges gave it an Honorable Mention.... The Superintendent of photography just called me and we had a nice chat... she remembers me from the past few years.. very nice woman... she thanked me for doing the research for her... |
