Several of our lakes have those built out areas for handicap fishing. They are really nice. I used to think fish is fish, until I caught the small mouth. Everyone who hears about it is impressed. In part I think because they are not common in that area of the river. In part I think people were surprised I was able to land it. Bass can put up quite a fight. I got it close enough to the shore that DH was able to get it in a net. |

Peeps...I think I've been out in the too long today....,still waitiing for the the Barkman guys to come back. They have some big Gov't contract and don't seem to have the time to finish this job so I was out there today working on it myself ![]() The fence guys can't finish until the concrete guys are done and this isn't a huge job by any means We have delayed our trip to Minneapolis by a week hoping they all would be finished Just as well as there is some kind of PGA golf tournament going on there and it is virtually impossible to get hotel rooms until they all leave ![]() |

WOW!!!! Deb, I was blown away seeing your farm town!!! Very Nice Didn't see much of it when none other than Gary showed up and hired me to harvest his grapes. So I spent the next 15 minutes harvesting and plowing his grape fields. How did he do that? Of course I have just started my farm so not enough to hire out.Great Job to you and Gary |

Golden Eagle Survives Head-On With Semi![]() Click image for video after ad (:49) This isn't the same story I posted last time about the eagle in the truck either ![]() Interstate 80, mile marker 180, was the scene of a head-on collision between a semi truck and a male golden eagle Tuesday morning (Aug 4, 2009). The driver of the semi was surprised, to say the least, when his driver’s side windshield caved in on his lap and the large eagle fell to the floor of his cab. All the commotion inside the cab caused the driver to swerve into an adjacent lane forcing another vehicle into the median. Thankfully no injuries occurred to any of the people involved. In spite of hitting the truck moving at a speed of 70 MPH the eagle was found by Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) standing in the back bunk area of the truck. DWR Officer Bruce Johnson transported the bird to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center (WRC) of Northern Utah where it underwent extensive evaluation by DaLyn Erickson (WRC Wildlife Specialist and Executive Director). DaLyn was amazed at the overall condition of the bird: minor lacerations to head and right wing, no broken bones and the only real concern was head and eye trauma. WRC immediately transported the eagle to the Parrish Creek Veterinary clinic in Centerville Utah where their staff conducted another thorough examination and took multiple head and skeletal x-rays. The prognosis is very optimistic! With antibiotics, anti-inflammatory medications and basic supportive care WRC is expecting this eagle to make a full recovery. http://www.wrcnu.org/pages/full_story/push...home_news_right |

Penny GREAT story about the Golden Eagle. Sweet dreams Peetie. George you are no doubt the funniest man I have ever met! Now we can't wear them to the Dog Show. It may freak out the pups in the ring. Heard of a place where there are a pair of Breeding Eagles with 3 little ones getting ready to Fledge. A Lake Galina in this area. I must check this out! CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL OUR MILESTONE POSTERS! ![]() If fishing for Trout use a kernle of corn. This is what they are raised on in the hatchery's. I use to Fresh Water fish, but more interested in Deep Sea since there is more of a variety. Blue's really put a hurtin on your arms. I can barely brush, floss my teeth the following day, and to comb my hair I have to lower my head to the comb. My arms hurt so bad. |
