We went to Wrightstown, Pa. last night to the Fair, and saw an Elvis Impersonator! WOW! He was hot, in more ways then one. We were in a tent, and I thought I was finished with those Hot Flashes. Hadn't had one for years till last night. He did several clothes changes from a black pair of slacks and a white coat, to a G.I Uniform. It didn't take long before his uniform was soaked! Then he came out in the black leather slacks and jacket. OMG! I felt so bad for this man. Next he came out in a white jumpsuit with multi colored studs on it. At the end I tried to take his picture with my camera, but this disbang couldn't figure out how to work it. DUH! So I bought a picture and had him autograph it and also bought 2 scarfs which he autographed the one. What a night! I was ready to leave for Wisconson with him. |

Hi, Folks, It's been awhile since I was on the forum. I miss you all. I too miss Limuw all over again. Today is an extra sad day for me because I was awakened at 3 A.M. by my dog crying. She can't move -- seems to be paralyzed on the right side. AND she weighs almost 90 pounds, so getting her to the vet is going to be doubly difficult. I'm just hoping we can pull it off. I had to twist the vet's arm to even get them to agree to see her today, and we can't get in there until 11 0'clock. I'm afraid I'm going to have to say goodbye to her today and as most of you know, that's pretty hard. I'll let you know what happens later. |

Bette ... Thank you for reposting JudyB's tribute to Limuw. It brought back all the memories as if they were yesterday. I still feel the loss of Limuw. What could have been is no longer possible. These beautiful birds have really united many people from different walks of life and locales. I am anxiously awaiting the 2010 breeding season. I certainly will be there from the beginning. Cathie |

CATHIE - Thank YOU for posting it the first time. All I did was "quote" it. It's something we need to see today, as we are all flooded with memories.

Watched the Neil Diamond special last night...Neil Diamond Hot August Night/NYC...as usual, it was great...will get the CD next week...have been a fan for nearly 40 years and have seen him in concert 5 0r 6 times. Slight changes to some songs but, all in all, still the tops in my book!! Many band members and back up singers have been with him for years and years. Heard that his special was reempted in Northern Calif. because of a football game...glad I live in So. Calif. Chiquita |
