Good morning. Hope all are safe with the fires out West. Sandie I hope you are feeling better today. Getting ready for Church this morning, and have so many to pray for. Hope I can remember everyone. Last night when I went I just put The Cruzr's in a piece of paper, and put that into the Prayer Basket. I prefer to name all of those who are in need even though we all can use a little extra. Have to take Ken's car since my isn't running correctly for some reason. It's a Since Ya Job. Since I had Freon put in now the idle is weird and it feels like it wants to stall out all the time. Gotta run. Later. |

Good morning, all. August 16th is Tell a Joke Day! Two or three centuries ago, there was a popular comic actor called Joe Miller. Now, that's a long time ago, for sure. But one thing hasn't changed: It's still good to laugh and laugh again. So, in honor of that long-ago comic, let's designate this as a great day to tell a joke — and, we hope, to hear a good one in return. Q: How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb? A: Heck, you need 250 just to lobby for the research grant. ![]() Q: How many psychiatrists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Only one, but the light bulb has to WANT to change. |

George that doe looks as though she is either going to kick out at you, or take off. She has quite a few scars on her right side, and rear leg. Maybe she is holding her right rear leg up because it's hurt. Hope not. They are so beautiful, and I really miss our herd we had here for years. Just too much traffic on the road now. Peetie hope you are feeling better this morning. You said you were down last night. Wish I was going to a BBQ. |

Well deer will stomp their hoof at you to feign a charge to hopefully scrare you off but they never charge. Given how close i was to her on my bicycle it makes sense. Funniest bambi tale i ever witnessed was a house cat stalking a fawn slinking low to the ground towards it. Bambi's mother comes out from the underbrush stomps her foot a few times and then takes a few steps and the cat flees. Just goes to show that with cats often its the thrill of the stalking and not the prey that they like. Given bambi was 10x larger too |

GROANER ALERT!!! Here is a "Newfie Joke" that i had to share as the heading above says it is a groaner! Paddy & Seamus worked together in St. John's, Newfoundland and were both laid off. So off they went to the unemployment office together. When asked his occupation, Paddy answered, "Panty Stitcher. I sew da elastic onto ladies cotton panties and tongs". The clerk looked up panty stitcher on his computer and finding it classified as unskilled labour, and gave him $80.00 a week unemployment pay. Mick was next in, and when asked his occupation, replied, "Diesel Fitter". Since a diesel fitter was a skilled job, the clerk gave Mick $160.00 a week. When Paddy found out he was furious. He stormed back into the office to find out why his friend and co-worker was collecting double his pay. The clerk explained "Panty Stitchers are unskilled and Diesel Fitter's are skilled labour". What skill? Yelled Paddy." I sew da elastic on da panties and tongs; Mick puts 'em over his head and says: "Yep, diesel fitter .........." |

Greetings all. Mina and Karen So sorrySandie - get well kiddo! Peetie - I know how you are feeling. Mid 90s here with high humidity. We haven't had any rain since December. Water levels very low. Got a spritz yesterday in the early morning hours. Possible thundershowers this week. Not feeling much like doing anything in this heat. Carlea - batten down the hatches. You have some weather coming your way. Check the NOAH dot org web site. Here we go again. Computer was down for most of two days. Came up this morning like nothing was wrong. Later this morning, I am going to feed the computer two gigs of memory. Also, put in a new battery on the motherboard which holds config info and date and time. Have a great Sunday everyone!

Thanks we have been watching. Got my cartoons ready for another "FUN" season. I made it out to AZ and back but am really tired. I will try and upload my pictures today. Now I have to rest. My left leg is red afraid it may be cellulitis again. I will find out tomorrow when I go to my doctor. Thanks everyone for the hugs, prayers and for just thinking about me. Hugs and prayers to all those that need it. |

I hope its not cellulitis! I had that once and they had to open up my hand to drain all the crud from it. Lucky for me it was a one time deal. My aunt however has what they said was "Chronic Cellulitis" in her legs. This is rather tricky too for her as she ,being a smoker for so long, has what appears to be congestive heart failure which makes her ankles when bad the size of my thigh. The trick is trying to diagnose if its the CHF or the cellulitis and get the right meds into her for it. I hope you will have a speedy recovery from whatever it is
