Carlea :candle: lit for you too. Seems like I'm the only one lighting them lately. Wish I would have known earlier, and I would have remembered you in my prayers at Church this morning. However, you and all Cruzr's are in the Prayer Basket, and they will be remembered every day till next Saturday!

Try to stay off your feet as much as possible, and elevate them. Perhaps a pillow on a big trash can would work for you. Get them above the level of your heart. I have to do this too since mine are swelling up badly anymore. Will have to get to my Primary again, and see what she says.

Cricket thank you for lighting and keeping up with all the candles. Thanks for the reminder too...I went to the site and lit a few for Cruzers and family members in need of prayers. It was so sweet of you to light some for me in the loss of my pet earlier this week. <3

GROANER ALERT!!!

Here is a "Newfie Joke" that i had to share as the heading above says it is a groaner!

Paddy & Seamus worked together in St. John's, Newfoundland and were both laid off.

So off they went to the unemployment office together.
When asked his occupation, Paddy answered, "Panty Stitcher. I sew da elastic onto ladies cotton panties and tongs".

The clerk looked up panty stitcher on his computer and finding it classified as unskilled labour, and gave him $80.00 a week unemployment pay.

Mick was next in, and when asked his occupation, replied, "Diesel Fitter". Since a diesel fitter was a skilled job, the clerk gave Mick $160.00 a week.

When Paddy found out he was furious. He stormed back into the office to find out why his friend and co-worker was collecting double his pay.

The clerk explained "Panty Stitchers are unskilled and Diesel Fitter's are skilled labour".

What skill? Yelled Paddy." I sew da elastic on da panties and tongs; Mick puts 'em over his head and says:

"Yep, diesel fitter .........."

George, isn't that a Sven & Olaf joke? :D

I think these sort of jokes are mutli ethnic where one can insert the ethnic name(s) of choice to either offend or not offend

The ole and lena one maybe where lena gets a job at the Tickle me Elmo Factory up in international falls Minnesota

Her first day on the job lena is busily attaching two marbles in a cloth square to the dolls as production backs up and the Ole comes out to see what is going on

<~~UF DA LENA! i said two test tickles....

Thanks again, everyone, for all your kind thoughts.

Sandie, I hope you're feeling better today. You too, Carlea!

George, that was an awful joke. I loved it.

Just heard on local all news radio about one of the california fires where 82 have been suggested to evacuate.

They said that the Yorba Linda <sp?> fire was started when the wings of a red tail hawk collided with power lines :boohoo:

I have only two questions

1 how do they know it was started by a bird

and 2 How do they know it was a red tail hawk?

I guess things could have been worse, it could have been :soar:

Ok you made me do it here are some swen and ole jokes:

GROANER ALERT!!

Ole on the freeway
Ole and Lena were so excited to get a new cellular phone. Ole was to call when he was on his way home from town. Ole called Lena when he entered the freeway. "Lena put supper on, I'm on my way home."

Lena says, "Be careful because I hear some nut is driving the wrong way on the freeway."

"It's worse than that Lena, where I'm at there are a hundred cars going the wrong way!"

Scandinavians are notoriously cheap. Mom claims it was the vikings who taught The Scots the fine art of frugality so...

Ole goes out one day to use the outhouse, and he finds Sven there. Sven has his wallet out, and he's throwing money down into the hole of the outhouse. Ole asks, "Uff da! Sven, watcha doin' there, fella? You're throwing the five dollar bill and the ten dollar bill down into the hole of the outhouse! Whatcha doin' that for?"
Sven answers, "Well, when I pulled up my trousers I dropped a nickel down there—and I'm not going down into that mess for yust a nickel!"

A Norwegian and a canoe
Lars asked Ole, "Do ya know da difference between a Norvegian and a canoe?"

"No, I don't," said Ole.

"A canoe will sometimes tip," explained Lars.

UFF DA!!! :P
