Someone needs to tell the little boy on the pony to let go of that horn. It doesn't blow!

Little Bambino in the stroller is sweet with his outfit on.

Good night Peetie glad to hear you had a good day.

George, in some cases, the fire burns away from the starting point.. leaving the evidence behind.. some know what hawks are in that particular area... I sure know whats in my area...

The little boy is trying to wear his hat like the older vaquero cowboys.. just under the lip...thats what is so cute about the picture.. I'm sure it isn't that comfortable but he was told to do it evidently... check some of the other riders...

Nice shots of the festival! The Latino community really puts on a great shindig. I would bet the western ones are way better than those here. I think the major latino community here is the Puerto Rican communtiy with not as strong a mexican presence as out there.

I saw at the july 4th parade here in philly the ethnic costumed members of the Bolivian Community and its fascinating to see the various nations with thier ethnic wear. I am not sure about the latino community but the european nations also have various provincial and regional costumes within their nations. This could be a study unto itself to see them all

Deb I know what you mean about geocaching in the heat! My hubby and I have not been able to do much geocaching since most of the summer here in Texas has been a 100 degrees or more each day.

There was one that we decided to find after a rainstorm cooled things off a bit because it was supposed to have several travelbugs in it. We were taking a trip and thought we would move them 150 miles down the road. Well this one was in the woods and the area was full of thorns and since it had rained it was so muddy! We slid on down the hills in the mud swatting tons of mosquitoes and came to a creek full of slimy water and there was no way to cross it. Hubby bushwacked through the thorns and found a place to cross the creek. He made his way to where the cache was supposed to be and taped to the tree with duct tape was a note that said "the geobandit has captured the booty..we left the dog" Down on the ground was a toy plastic dog in a ziploc baggie. We were so upset after all that effort! :'(
It was supposed to be a really big cache full of travelbugs and goodies. I contacted the cache's owner and they were pretty upset about it too. That cache had been there almost 6 years with no problems.
We haven't really had the heart to try again since then. It will have to get much cooler around here first! :P

Lala love all the pictures! They are all dressed so beautifully and that horse with his mane fixed up was awesome!

George, the Santa Barbara Fiesta really shows off the Spanish culture... This is a horse parade for sure and these are the finest horses on the west coast.. there are so many world class stables and breeding farms near Santa Barbara (think Neverland Ranch area)...and these ranches hire only the finest Charros or Vaquero to help with their ranches.. then they get to help show off these wonderful horses... but... you have to check out the parade on Saturday, the day after this one.. that is the children's parade.. push um-pull um... and the way these families decorate their tiny floats with the kids is amazing... all sorts of animals that day, goats, dogs, tiny horses...and beautiful costumes...

LaLa now that horse is an Andelusian Stallion. I can tell by the Mane and Forlock the facial hair so to speak. The Stallion because of his thick neck. Nice horse I have ridden them too.

George I'll send you an E.M.
