George they hose the dogs down constantly, and the Handlers carry a misting bottle with them. If the pups look a little hot, they are wet down, and some water is spritzed into their mouths too. Some of these dogs are worth up to $5,000.00 so you don't want anything to happen to them.

George, its a vicious circle with the stores.. you are without your cash  for 7-10 days and the store is without their merchandise to sell for about the same time...I think its a cash/flo thingy...

Could be but if something is returned even on the same day it was bought, why should you the shopper be wihtout the economic utility of your money and be forced to wait 7-10 days?

While a couple of hundred to them is considered "chump change" it isnt to most shoppers. They see it as chump change here and chump change there it adds up over a day at all their stores. Even if they parked in some bank, it makes money for them and not we the chumps. Personally, if i pay in cash i expect to also be paid in cash. They sure were happy to take it fast from me they can be just as happy and just as fast in giving it back to me or any other patron.

Since we seemed to have gone to the dogs, I just had to unearth this video with Buddy Guy and the legendary "big Mamma Thorton" from 1952

Big Mamma Thorton original version -You aint nothing but a hound dog"

This was 4 years before Elvis hit it big with the same tune

LaLa did you take the baseboards off, or are you using something like a venetian blind as a guide to protect the wall? Baseboards are the hardest part when painting. Tedious work.

I am astounded! My evil spinster sister was down here tending to some buisness for our mom and en route back to new york she had left her blackberry on the local septa commuter train en route to the cesspool known as Trenton New Jersey.

A conductor called me this evening saying that he had found the phone and i could pick it up at a central philly train station. I called and it wasnt there but I just got a call from them saying it was now there and i am off to pick up the lost blackberry tomorrow morning.

When i lose important items my sister usually snipes "you should be more careful with things". So now i am able to return the favor when i get it back to her. Of course this is going to cost her for my aggrevation.

I also will send off a letter to the head poobah of SEPTA ( south eastern pennsylvania transportation authority) to praise the good deeds of both the train conductor and thier passenger service folks. Those of you should have guessed by now that when i am given crappy service i will rip a new intestinal opening into them for it. Turnabout is also fair play and when deserved I will praise the good just as i condemn the bad. :)^

Just goes to show that good suprises can and do happen. My evil sister was in knots worrying about all the information contained on her blackberry too.

Years ago my sister was backpacking around England and left her purse on one of those double-decker busses. The bus driver delivered the bag to the hostel where he had dropped her off earlier - now that's service!

It's good to know there are still some honest people left in the world, George!

This past Sunday, Linds left her wallet in the restroom at the Denny's in Oceanside where we stopped after returning from Sea World. I left the restroom after she did but it must have been in the stall as I didn't see anything on the sink. As I was leaving, a gentleman that does the cleaning went into the restroom just as I left. When Linds realized where she had left her wallet she asked the waitress and she said to ask at the register desk. She came back with the wallet and everything intact, including her money! The cleaning gentleman had turned it in :) He so easily could have taken the money and claimed he hadn't taken it but he was honest, thankfully!

Grandson takes the bus to his school (French school) out of his area so when graduation time came last month he didn't want to wear his dress up clothes on the bus in the morning so he wore his regular school clothes to school and changed to his dress up clothes in the bathroom after he got to school....and left his cell phone and iPod in the restroom...raced back to check and they were gone.
Panic set in as he was sure some kid would walk off with them...ceremony was over so he checked with the office...no phone!!! Went to get refreshments before leaving campus when he decided to check one more time...both iPod and cell just been turned in. Whew!!!

I believe when asked before what I did with all the "stuff" I bought I remember telling you that I take it all back. It's quite nice actually for the stores to have their merchandise displayed. Kohl's....no questions asked! Pier one no questions asked for 30 days. Ross same thing. Just keep the receipts and replace the price stickers.

Now I have bought a dress or shoes or whatever and brought it home and not liked it. Take it back. I agree with George about the worst buy place. I don't like not being able to return something if it's not the right "fit" for whatever reason.

I'm glad Cricket and George are going to the dog show. That sounds like a lot of fun. I wish it was too hot around here. Nothing but fog for over a week. We did have a smidge of sunlight here for a few hours today. It's very strange from one side of the town to the other. It can be foggy here and a few blocks away be sunny.

Lala what color are you using for your paint job? What room???

Wow seems strange to say but I have homework to do!!! WOO HOO.
