George, until recently I didn't understand why some photographers have 4 cameras around their neck... so much easier grabbing a camera then looking for a lens and taking it off and on... makes lots of sense to me for you to take two cameras...all you need now is a press badge and you can be in the front row!!! |

Hopefully good for you, even though it's too bad for you all. It sure seemed special to be able to ride to some place so convenient and be able to just sit and spend time with her. And then with fellow Cruzers!

My next door neighbor told us today that a mountain lion has been spotted in our neighborhood... I've always expected to see one here some day.... he killed some chickens and a goat very close to my house... my chickens are safe, but they may attract him... |

LaLa - Be careful with a mountain lion in your area, especially if your cats go outdoors. Do any wildlife people track these animals, sedate them and return them to a more remote area?

CatM enjoy your dinner and evening. Peetie George the rapid action might be good for the jump sequence in the Obedience ring, and also the gait in the Confirmation Ring. That's what I've trained my eyes for watching the foot fall of the gait. I believe in backups too. I took 4 camera batteries with me to H.B., and all 4 were dead! Apparently there is a problem either with my charger, or the camera. Do you have an overnight bag to put the cap in? LaLa a Mountain Lion! Please be extra careful, and protect all your birds. The Peacocks especially. |

While that is true, also a working "pro" NEVER EVER takes just one camera. Immagine you are shooting a $5000 wedding gig and your camera craps out on you. Most pros always have a backup camera just in case. You wont then have to explain why you have no shots for a newlywedded couple and risk getting sued out the wazoo for damages In the dark ages of film, i would often have a black and white body and a color body so i could shoot bw and color and sometimes would take a third body for shooting kodachrome slide film. Another advantage of two bodies is that if you are in a dusty wind blown venue you wont have to worry about the dust crapping up the sensor when you change lenses. One tip for that to minimize the risk is to ALWAYS hold the camera down while you change the lens to prevent dirt or dust from flying into it.

I wil have my lowepro camera bag on my back as i bike to the bus to catch the train. Right now she has made a nest in a box and is incubating patiently in it for travel. I will figure soemthing out thats for sure ![]() The second battery in the grip really doesnt give me that much more speed in terms of frames per second. I can still shoot at 3fps with the single in camera battery and i am not sure how many sequences i would need at 4.5 fps. The post production then would be very time consuming to tweek each shot to see what are and arent the keepers. Also since i was ran into with the camera the grip has to have the battery cover secured not by the closure but i have to use duct tape or sturdy surgical tape to keep it closed hence why i am not sure i am going to take it with me |

Carole, even if I saw the mountain lion, I'm not sure if I would call animal control.. they have a bad record around here for killing and not relocating mountain lions...they always have a story about why it couldn't be tranquilized..... I guess I would call.. the cats might get comfy here with the peacocks, quail, rabbits galore....just would hate for something to happen to the cat...but my two small girls are here so much... that is the main thing... |

ES thanks so much for sharing that again. It kinda scares me to have certain people seeing it all. Deb road trip for sure.....with pic's please (cell phone was good tho for a quick fix) Penny what a horrid trip. I've had trips like that before. Potty stops???? Had first test on Phlebotomy class today. Wow I have to do something else for the tests. My eyes went all goofy on me like smog in LA goofy. Don't know that I'm gonna do about that. Yard sale tomorrow. Hope I "get rid" of some stuff. Could use some extra $$$ George & Cricket have a blast at the dog show. Hope it's not too hot or muggy. |

Lala be careful about the cat. I know you love animals but don't forget about YOUR animals and yourself. Have you seen precious lately? I meant to ask you about the photo dept. What dictates the size of the picture you submit? Laurie you are so cute....safe chocolate. Do you have to let it "defrost" before you can eat it? My friend once told me she hid her vodka bottle in her Tide box. She went to an AA meeting and thought everyone else hid their cognac in the tea chest hehehehe. She wasn't ready to face things yet I guess. |
