I'm waiting for the shot of the bat that flew in the area where the cooking was happening , and where we ate. First I thought it was a Sparrow, but when it folded it's wings I clearly saw it was a Bat. I didn't want to hang in there with that thing, so I went out. George said he was getting a picture of it. I saw several Monarch Butterflies today, but they were too fast for George.

Thanks, Peetie, for noticing my milestone...I don't always check it. I will have to have my grandson help me get the pics to you. Photos that I drag into the message area on e-mails seem to always go through except when I send one to you...remember when I had that problem last time. Maybe I could e-mail them to someone on the forum and then that person could just post them here for you to see. Will keep trying.

EVERYONE is on the farm...DD was here last night and she and all her friends are on it...

The shot with the German Shepherds, and the Red Dobreman on the Long Sit Stay was very interesting. Shame Doby broke twice. Nice looking pup too. One normally doesn't see a Red one often since the dominate color is black. This is only the second one I've ever seen. The first didn't have her ears cropped, and I didn't have a clue what it was!

The G.S. pup he shot was a Sable. Not much bone, but a sweet pup all the same. Owned by a little girl who wanted everyone to know it was HER DOG! So cute.

Cricket, i am still in "post production" and sent you a second group of shots. I am not sure whether it would be "kosher" to post any more of them

George I've received 3 groups of shots. Did you send more then that?

I don't know why not George. Others Post pictures of things they did, and saw.

Does anyone want to see more of the Dog Show?

well I see I'm 3 pages behind - will do that in a minute

Did 11 finds today in caching - humid - the weather folks lied - but it was a teensy bit cooler

Went east to cache! But before we left our town - we saw a BIG redtail sitting on the pole in front of the Catholic Chapel sooooo we stopped and got some super photos! Will post in a bit.

Back into the car - headed east to Dix Hills - did some caching - saw some bunnies <3 then decided to head for the beach again to check Billie Waves! They were much nicer - bigger yesterday - not quite so today - but there folks out there surfing as best they could (east coast has no surfing) - lots and lots of folks there having a look see though. All beaches still closed to swimming!

Back to the car - headed up to Meadowbrook to check on the osprey - mom/dad not in sight but Jr. was home peeping peeping! We hopped out of car but before we could make much progress - he lifted off (remember yesterday I said he has fledged)...... couldn't get any photos - camera lens had fogged from the cold car out into the muggy beach area .... :( phooey.

SO we drove back down the parkway - turned around at the beach and headed back towards home - saw no one on any of the poles but who was in the nest across the road - Jr.! but we couldn't stop - too much wave looker traffic! Oh well.

Great to see him flying !!! :**: Haven't seen the other youngster.

time for a rest and some laundry

Shame that one would have been very interesting for those who had never seen one. I was surprised it came out in broad daylight! I thought they were Nocturnal!
