Since I seem to be the first awake, I finished the dog shots but stumbled upon a nice video from The Eagles of the Island of Moll that i thought warranted sharing Lamb anyone?? (video from the pbs show "nature") White Tail Sea Eaglets from "Nature" having fresh lamb delivery |

Good morning Cruzers. Great photos of the Dog show George. No sunshine today just rain. Yesterday evening we had a thunder and lightning show while I was at the FD. A bolt of lightning struck a gas tank on a house and blew out some electrical boxes and started a fire. The FD was on scene pretty quickly and saved the house. Mostly smoke damage. Hurray!! All five occupants evacuated with no injuries. Very lucky people. There was more smoke damage than fire damage. I thought I'd start out this Monday with the Mama's and the Papa's: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H7KrlDZ5Hkw Hope you all have a good Monday. |

Catching up from last night. Maybe I should stay up past 7? Deb, loved the videos of the surf. Great shots of the hawk and beach too. Your caching outing seems to have been very successful! I too loved the hand in the tree. George, I would love to see more of your photos from the dog show. Karen, super shots of your grandbaby to be. |

National Waffle Day National Waffle Day (August 24) is the anniversary of the first U.S. patent for a waffle iron. Cornelius Swarthout of Troy, New York received his patent for a "device to bake waffles" in 1869. His early waffle iron was used in conjunction with coal stoves, consisted of a griddle and a cover and required flipping of the device to cook both sides of the waffle. ![]() |

An unassisted triple play! Eric Bruntlett became the second player in major league history to get the final three outs on his own, accomplishing the feat Sunday to preserve the Phillies’ 9-7 victory over the Mets. |

work work work you may have noticed in the beach shots a "dot" in the right corner - must be dirt somewhere in the camera - we've cleaned all that we can - it's the little Lumix! So on the phone now with Panasonic - ho hum - yawn - hours later....... we bought the camera only a couple months ago .... so................ |

Yes, CatM, that unassisted triple play yesterday happened so fast you could almost miss it...but I guess that's the way they are...everyone in the right place at the right time except for the runner...caught in the wrong place. Chiquita |

FYI usually a dust spot on the sensor shows up as what would look like a watermarked dot overlaying the image. Unless your Lumix is the one with interchangable lenses, you may have a burnt out pixel on the sensor which can come from too many shots, espeically long exposures into bright light sources such as the sun. Panasonic is normally good with tech support and will likely fix your problem for you I am interested to see what their diganosis is. Clue me in on what they say to you. (i love my LEICA lensed lumix even though its only a 5meg point and shoot)
