Marti - good to have you back with us. I've been missing you. Love that attachment. . Kris - glad to see you check in. Sorry to hear that Chowder isn't going to continue. I've actually enjoyed watching a few episodes every now and then. Hoping for DH's health to improve soon. The sun came out finally - can I go play now????

Deb & Vicki - I have a very sweet doctor (well he is a close friend too and he knows if he hurts me, I'll kill him ) he froze the area in my shoulder before he gave me the cortisone shot. He also gave me one in the elbow for tennis elbow (tendonitis) and it worked too. After I had knee surgery, the swelling wasn't going down so the orthopedic surgeon gave me a cortisone shot but also froze the area first, no pain. It gets a bit ouchy afterwards but applying ice helped a lot.

yes and when the time comes the move over the pond will be a very smooth trip i hope. But remember, in the words of the immortal Vera Lynn: ::blows in pitch pipe:: THERE'LL ALWAYS BE AN ENGLAND (Ross Parker / Hughie Charles) Recorded by: Vera Lynn; Tiny Tim; Sam Browne; Monte Ray; Alfred Piccaver; Sidney Burchell. I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen. I give you a toast, ladies and gentlemen. May this fair dear land we love so well In dignity and freedom dwell. Though worlds may change and go awry While there is still one voice to cry..... There'll always be an England While there's a country lane, Wherever there's a cottage small Beside a field of grain. There'll always be an England While there's a busy street, Wherever there's a turning wheel, A million marching feet. Red, white and blue, What does it mean to you? Surely you're proud, shout it aloud, "Britons, awake!" The empire too, we can depend on you. Freedom remains. These are the chains Nothing can break. There'll always be an England, And England shall be free If England means as much to you As England means to me. |

well there is a numbing agent in the cortisone shot however to be sure he hits the right spot first time out - well - the pain is the only way he can be sure he pinpoints the injury! within a second or 2 the numbness kicks in and I can move again! I can suck up an instant of pain if it gives me relief! (I just
- and it makes the Dr. feel bad so...... get my monies worth) ONLY KIDDING! he's really really nice - I've had the same issue with an elbow (stupidness on my part) and in my other shoulder. The shoulders have a lot to do with the way I sleep but I ain't sleepin' on my back so.... |

Wow CBS just reported there is a huge "garage sale" in Sacramento with everything from bobble heads to cars. They reported even one dental chair. It would be great for a new dentist Cricket.....know anyone starting out? I wonder if you can buy it from a distance or on line? |

Harpo I'll trade you one hip for one shoulder. Or a couple of ankles for a shoulder. Well, depends on how bad it is. My Dr always blows some freezing thing from a can before he shoots anything into my skin. I'm grateful for any kind of pain relief. Glad it's helped Harpo. I have that funky face hole thingy that you can sleep on your face if you'd like it.
