Thank you, Steffani! :)^ Great pictures, enjoyed the presentation information, and the account of the buffalo roundup. Thanks for the news about the eaglets, hope you can spot the other two this week.
The red-tails around here seem to have become more common this spring and summer, also. Congratulations on your antelope sighting, it's those eagle eyes of yours that spotted them!

The bison will stay in the corrals for a couple of months and will be worked on (blood drawn, ear tagged, etc.) before they're sent off. I believe the Conservancy is planning on shipping most of the ones that are in the corrals but there's still plenty of bison left on the island. Like mentioned by one of you before, they are a huge turist attraction, which makes it almost impossible to remove them entirely, despite the negative impact that herbivores have on the native plantlife and how much they struggle to find food on this island.
