Happy Birthday to Chitown73 and Laurie's DH!!! Funny you talking about the end of summer earlier in chat. It was so hot - over 100 in Yorba Linda both days this weekend - I read 2 magazines and a good book got nothing done outside until after 6 p.m. - the computer is in a "hot" room - didn't even go there....For the cat lovers among us, OC Register had an interesting article on cat food. It's not on line so quickly: Average adult house cat needs 200-250 calories of food per day Iams Indoor Cat hairball Care diet - 365 calories per cup Science Diet Natures Best Chicken - 420 calories per cup Purina ONE Chicken/Rice - 452 calories per cup Wellnesss CORE - 536 calories per cup 3 oz. can Fancy Feast - 95 calories 5.5 oz. Friskies - 140 calories Have to go home and read the dry food info on what mine eat. |

Linda tell DH thanks for all his service and that I hope he enjoys his special dinner for his birthday. Harpo must have to w&%k also. Having issues with my testing process at school so I hope they can figure it out so I can take my test maybe on the computer. I can't seem to be able to go from test paper to answer sheet to reading the answers on another sheet....jeesh. I'm wondering if I should do this class? I know I can do the practical aspect. |

You can watch Mount Wilson from this cam- http://www.astro.ucla.edu/~obs/towercam.htm#imagetop So you can see all the smoke. Hopefully they can keep the fire from burning this down so it won't end up like what happened to our communications site at Gibraltar peak. The news services were asked not to give this URL out because it is so clogged already by people viewing it. So if it comes up page won't load, you'll have to try again. |

Egads thats alot of smoke!! Hope they have contingencies for those with breathing problems. I can only immagine the problems those with emphysema and asthma must be having out there. Now , If i hadnt known about the fires i would wonder if that was just the typical L.A. Smog.

HSN? Home shopping network? If there ever is an east coast cruzer event, remind me to not show you the HSN broadcast complex which is only about a 20minute ride from me. The place is HUGE! The intrepid bargain hunter in me wonders if they have a store at their complex or not? I often pass by them when i go the 8 or 9 miles into west chester pa |

Sorry George....typo HLN is what I meant. Yes HSN is a thriving business I guess. I don't watch that. I could get in some real trouble with that. |

Sandi, I don't know about keeping Bernie quiet either, but the wind chimes can be like Chinese water torture to some people... they never stop... what one person feels is relaxing can be constant noise to another... and the guy has no choice...you need to sit down and have a chat with Bernie...can you move Bernie to another part of the house?? |

Lala I thought about putting Bernie in the bedroom. But if I do then he won't see me except when I go in there and that will really upset him. Where he is now he can see me most of the time. I tried talking to him when I'm about to walk into another room and that seems to soothe him somewhat. He gets nervous if I even move while I'm on the couch. Wanna come down and help me rearrange my furniture??? Or just come to the beach to get out of the heat!!! |

Shame you cant perch Bernie in some central hallway between your main room and such others as your boudoir and bathroom so Bernie would be able to follow you at least and know where you are. Ideally if there were a location in the middle of your abode far enough from your walls and those next to your neighbor the sound of Bernie would be less invasive through the walls of your home. If i were a nestcoaster and nearby, id gladly assist you in moving furniture. As long as i wouldnt have to move that stineway grand piano that is

Well, I think i am going to call it a night. I have to get up before the rooster tomorrow so i can get in to see the dentist tomorrow for possible extractions of 3 or more broken molars. I dont want to be cranky from lack of sleep since they will be the one holding the vice grips NYTOL!!
