Deb- Ken's mother and Step Father got into a Catholic Assisted Living Place a couple of years ago. They have a lovely two bedroom, 2 bath, Living Room, Dinette, and a small working kitchen. Irv had Pancreatic Cancer at the time, but was unaware of it. Evelyn really didn't like the idea of living there since they are Jewish. When Irv got bad, he was moved from the apartment to the Assisted Living quarters. It was very similar to a hospital, right there in the same building! Evelyn went to see him every day and evening. When the diagnosis was made he went downhill very quickly. Apparently he had this for sometime and was mis-diagnosed. He passed shortly after-wards. She now loves the place. She goes down to the Dining Room every afternoon for dinner, and then plays Bridge in the evenings for money. Penny's actually, but she gets a kick out of winning. I've been there and it is lovely. Hope something like this can be found for your Mom. I wouldn't even tell her abut the Assisted Living Part. Just say it's an Apartment Complex! |

Jeesh Karen that is scarey!!! And you would not think that 8-10 feet of water there would be a shark in that shallow of water. Shuddddddeeerrrsss!!! Well, I am exhausted. And hot. And hurting. Oh, did I say exhausted? I helped DD today pack and move things to her new place. I like the place just not the environment. Tooooo many people!! But it's cute inside. I'm going to study for a little bit take a little something to help me sleep and pray for cooler weather. Oh forgot to mention the sun today. So orange. Tried to get a picture but it set before I could. The fires really do a number on the sun. Guess I should eat something too just so hot...nothing sounds good. Night night |
