Update on the new baby panda at the SD Zoo...

"Well, it's a big day at the San Diego Zoo - our newest panda cub had a very first checkup! And (drumroll please) - it's a BOY! This is Bai Yun's second male cub. He didn't seem to mind his first exam - in fact, he was quiet and sl...eepy through the whole thing. What a good kid! Here are the first stats for the baby book: at four weeks old, he measures 14.7 inches and weighs a roly poly 4.8 pounds!"

Woooohooooo! Its a boy!!

Blue Corn Enchiladas...I love enchiladas but have never heard of blue ones...sounds great as I love Mexican food, CatM. Also, always on the lookout for a good margarita.

I was doing some hand watering in the back yard last evening and three hummers noticed the spray and spent a lot of time buzzing back and forth through the mist. I enjoyed seeing them cool off after another very hot day.

I knew the BIG check up was due for our new panda cub. Thanks for posting to tell us that IT'S A BOY!!! KareninSoCal. He was born when we were on vacation...seems like we are always on vacation when the SD pandas are born. Every picture seems to show him getting bigger and bigger...Bai Yun is such a good Mom.

Chiquita, blue corn is my favorite. I think it is an acquired taste. It is a little sharper than yellow or white corn. It is very popular here in New Mexico. New Mexico makes their enchiladas flat, not rolled. I love New Mexican food. It is an interesting variation on traditional Mexican fare with a little bit of Native American influence.

I am :v8v: :v8v: :v8v: here at the mere thought of Mexican food. We have NO Mexican restaurants here at all any more.....oh yeah, there are 2 who think they have Mexican food but it is really not anything like the real thing. :'( :'( :'(
