I have and I also have planted many hummer friendly plants like Scarlet Trumpet Honeysuckle plants...2 kinds and Nicotenia and others but they just use Manitoba as a corridor on their Spring and Fall migrations. I used to see them many years ago but I guess unless they have been to my yard a few times in the recent past they will not remember there is free food for them here  Do you think these are hanging too low????? ![]()

Penny sorry the word has not been spread that free food can be had at your place. I love watching them too. Not many around here. We must have had 5-6 feeders at the old place before everyone moved on.George I was thinking about selling the photos TO THEM!!! I understand the copyright infringement very well. Paul being the professional photographer he is very sensitive to that. Cat I would love to drive one of those also. Just not there. I'll drive it and you can ride??? Wonder if they make wheelchair lifts for those? Nah no matter we'd find a way! Cricket I meant to say how happy I am that you have decided to come West. It does not look like I am going to be able to go East at all. Not even for the medal award ceremony. It just is not in the financial cards.Have not heard from DD so she must be getting all her stuff smushed into her new place. |

Penny I would put that feeder up higher at window level at least. To prevent hungry cats from getting a treat. Just my opinion. |

Barb....what you doin today or the weekend? Having any fun?Wonder what Peetie is doing? I believe her vacation is over Monday, right? I just finished my deviled egg....I ate too many while I was making them  That always happens to me!! But enough left for the party. Am going out and maybe put on makeup!!! I will shock everyone!!Wish I had my puppy. I'm ready to play with him/her. Probably a him. The females when they come in heat you have to be confined during that time and not take them anywhere.....no thanks. I couldn't do that anyway unless I had a puppy sitter. Haven't see Vicki today either. Hmmmm all out playing in the fabulous sunshine. It's not nearly as hot here today. I guess they have almost 50% containment on the fire. That's a very good thing. Maybe it will be out ahead of time. What a shame that two wonderful dedicated men had to lose their lives. |

Penny, what was I thinking when I asked you about attracting Hummers... Your yard is beautiful and inviting for sure... they must be blind... beautiful colors and photos.... I have my feeders higher but if you have no cats around the hummers feed on low flowers all the time... I like your climbing plant of the wall... |

Deb is indeed feeling better. She & ES are out and about and she's been sending me pictures, saying.....guess where we are? ![]() (all clickables) Looks like a beautiful day! Glad to see/hear she's feeling well enough to enjoy it. Some of you on the east coast may recognize this, but this California gal sure didn't. She's been driving me crazy. I finally figured it out, but I'm not gonna spill the beans just yet. I don't wanna be the only one she drove crazy!

Jill, amazing fire pictures... they all were very moving.. the one of the two women standing with only gray around them.. and then her little rainbow socks... that one was one of contrast in colors... and of course, the deer and tigers...
