DH and I are watching 'The Passionate Eye' on CBC right now which is premiering a documentary titled 9/11 Conspiracy Files: The Third Tower directed by Mike Rudin, and produced for the BBC. This is such a shockingly detailed description and explanation by experts as to what they believe actually happened.
I will post more about it on the appropriate day. |

Thanks everyone for the support today... really makes a difference... I almost didn't post about Donna because I didn't want tons of sympathy for myself... but it was heart warming to hear her name off and on today... I sat in the field this afternoon, where Precious and Soar learned to fly and hunt and just watched the world go by and thought of her and what her family is going through.. that was my little private time... lots of good memories... :soar: :soar: |

Go Navy...from another Navy brat. The U.S.S. Bonhomme Richard will have their reunion here in San Diego at the end of the month...don't know if the ship will be here or not...will find out though. DIL's DF is coming out from N.J. for the festivities. Had another dear friend, now deceased, who was a Commander on the Bonhomme Richard...small world. Chiquita |

Deb....LOVE the pics! Wow! That Intrepid is one CLEAN ship! We have the Midway down in SD but I haven't been on it yet. Not sure Jim and I could do the stairs. My brother was stationed on the USS Carl Vinson for 7 mos. over in the Persian Gulf during Desert Storm. It's also an aircraft carrier. He worked in the hospital as a nurse anesthetist on it. Many years ago when I was in dental assisting school, our class took a field trip down to tour the USS Constellation. We mainly went to see the dental offices on the ship but got to tour the whole ship. It was amazing and sooo huge! Like a city in itself! LOVED the other pics, also of the marsh and park. Such a pretty area

Sandie, posted: Hypnosis school took me one year to complete. Then I got specialized training in smoking cessation. That took an awsome amount of energy and time. I'd love to do it again. Just not pay for it.....expensive!!! Everytime I help someone stop smoking I have the greatest sence of satisfaction. I'm giving them an extended life. STUDY STUDY STUDY I keep telling myself. Did any one know OMA means tumor and lipid means fat? Ask me if I care/need to know for purposes of Phlebotomy? Sandie, to try to answer at least one of your questions: Phlebotomy is more than just taking blood. Phlebotomy training courses, in addition to teaching collection techniques, prepare you for emergencies and help you understand proper laboratory procedures in order to avoid contamination or infection of yourself and others. Other phlebotomy courses that might be included in your training are: • Professional behavior • Quality control • Legal issues • Venipuncture, or vein puncture, is handled differently for different people. Newborns, children, adults and the elderly all have veins that require different techniques. If you’re working at a patient’s bedside, don’t you think it would be important for you to understand a diagnosis of a “Tumor” vs. a “Fatty Tumor”? Sometimes it may affect where you are going to be able to get your ‘stick’. If the order is to draw a Lipid Panel and the patient has some questions about what you’re doing, don’t you think it’s important for you to know what ‘Lipid’ is? I’ve been meaning to ask you about your courses. Ever since we’ve been acquainted here, you’ve been going to school for one thing or another. I just wondered what your final goal is. The light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Hypnotism, creative writing, phlebotomy. . . . . . . . . how are they going to fit together and when will you finally be finished? Don’t get me wrong. I am a big proponent of Adult Education but hope for practical outcome. So, as I said, I’m just wondering if you do have a goal and will it take many more courses. It's fascinating. |
