Say good-bye to summer as we move closer to fall....

Good morning all

Hope you had a super weekend wherever you were

I see 81 & 82 have been regular visitors at TH - are they getting a head start on nestorations - are they just bored - are they missing the ^"^ ^"^ Hmmm....

You can always see what's happening at PH - TH - WE and you can post what you see on the cams (photos or written) at:

Nest Observations

(clickable link to NO)

For the short and sweet report of the day of nest observations - you can visit the picture summary at:

All Eagles All The Time

and for a look back at 2009 nesting activity in picture summary - you can visit:

2009 Nest Summary in Photo / Video Captures

(picture / video summary of earlier years also in same topic:

Eagle Media

AND if you are interested in learning how to take nest cam captures and videos and how to process them and post your photos/videos - now's the time to practice - when the nests are "resting" :P

lots of folks would be happy to answer your questions and point you to tech help where all kinds of info is posted!

all help is appreciated and needed - 10 folks can be watching the same nest at the same time and they'll each see it a bit different or one or two will catch something others missed! so all help is appreciated :Hugs: :)^

eaglepedia revisited

June 19, 2007

Prey Requirements - A bald eagle must maintain a certain level of energy and body weight to function effectively, especially for hunting! Compared to the red meat of mammals (deer, raccoon, skunk and possum) fish are poor food sources. However, fish are more likely to be available. If an eagle eats only fish it would need to consume from 6 – 11% of its body weight (anywhere from 1 to 1.5 pounds of fish a day). If it fed on a higher quality of food, like carrion or small mammals, it would need only about 6% of its body weight each day. Weather (air temperature) and the amount of energy expended in locating food also affects how much food a bird needs. Eagles can go without food for several days.

Good morning sunshines. Yes a bit closer to Autumn, we are still enjoying 70-75 degree days and lots of sunshine. Makes me happy.

Leaves are starting to turn here a bit though.

Hmmmmmmmm name the Cruzers, wish I had time to play.

Good to see some regular visits and TH nest. What's going on at PH nest???

We spent a real fun weekend at camp. Did a lot of watching for eagles, but nope, didn't see any. I heard one but could never locate it. :(

OK, with all our wildlife cams - did you guys see what this one caught? Apparently this guy's garden was getting wiped out - more than he could account for from the usual wildlife. So he set up a cam to try and capture who the thief was - and one of the images shows what looks like a big hairy ape-like "critter".... looks real to me!

Good morning Peep's.

I see some I know in name the Cruzr's photo, but there are others I do not know. Won't even attempt it till I know everyone by name.

Deb sorry you had to return to work today but it looked as though you thoroughly enjoyed your Holiday weekend.

Sunday night when we went to hear our friend the General sing three men walked into the restaurant/Bar, and had a seat not far from where we were seated. I was suspicious of them and kept an eye on them. Just didn't look right to me. I asked the Gen. outside what he thought, and he felt the same as I did, and so did his date Janice as well as Ken too. Al said he would take two and Ken (he carries) and Janice were going under the table so I guess # 3 would have been mine. Glad nothing happened. Not sure where I would have begun.
