Am not able to keep up with all the posts but pop in each day from time to time so when I read that Mom took Baby panda out of camera range this morning I began to get concerned...Thanks for keeping us up to date noting their return. Also, Artsy Mom, thanks for the update on the Station Fire. I'm hearing fewer and fewer reports on this fire (and I'm in So. Calif) so always look forward to the more recent info. Chiquita |

Panda Cub's Second Exam Baiby BoyClick on Image for lots more fom San Diego Zoo Today was our newest panda cub’s second exam. This was my first time holding a panda cub, and he was much bigger than I expected! I carried him out from the den and handed him over to the two vets to examine. The baby gained nearly a pound this week: signs of a very healthy cub. After taking measurements and receiving a checkup by the vets, it was time to put him back. I quietly laid him in the bamboo covering the floor of the den and closed the bedroom door. Mother Bai stayed calm during the exam, munching on bamboo and biscuits. But as soon as she was given access to the bedroom, she returned to the den to check on her baby. She is such a good mom! It’s fun watching the new cub grow up, and I can’t wait to see how big he is next week! Holly Border is a keeper at the San Diego Zoo. Note: The panda cub weighed 3.9 pounds today. Video will be posted soon.

thanks Jiller is the Iphone the only one with internet access? HHHMMM??? Penny I can't take Vit C...my mouth breaks out in a thousand little blisters. Taking some Tylenol and "riding it out" I did hear about the back fires at Mt Wilson. Glad they were able to defend that area. Guess it's no longer a news item since it's well under control. I just hope they find the little $&*@# that set the fire. Some people don't have much and when they lose that it's so demoralizing and upsetting. Not to mention the firefighters life. That cuts into my soul. Going to spiritual health class tonight and isolate myself. I went online looking for late start classes. I just might take some theatre class. That might be a lot of fun. I really my Phlebotomy instructor and will probably try next semester. We'll see what happens. My neighbor that complained about Bernie came over and apologized. He said he bought a pair of ear plugs and when he needs to use them ..... no more problem. So that made me feel a little less awful. Maybe Bernie is going thru some terrible teenage years??? |

No, I believe some of the other carriers have come out with one now. But I believe when you combine internet & cell phone you aren't going to find the monthly very cheap. |

that's what I'm afraid of!! But internet access is not "cheap" either. However, I now have DSL from AT&T and that isn't too bad $'s wise. It's just not available where DD lives now.

It seems like the best deals for internet are obtained online as far as I can tell from some tenants on the property here. One of them got it very cheap from Verizon, but it was on online deal only. |

Not a bad idea but if this does happen it will be just as i had predicted. I knew with Megan's law for the scum sex offenders that it would only be the first of others in the future. Personally, i would be upset if i had a kid and lived by one of those slimeballs, but that would just mean i would have to keep a closer eye on my child. I would rather know if there were a cat burglar down the block. Eventually we could end up seeing registration for jay walkers too alas |

I just watched this Stunning, Amazing video of Golden Eagles used for hunting wolves in Mongolia. The Falconer/Herdsmen use this tecnique to protect their herds. All the "take downs" are jaw dropping, half way thru the video it appears to be completed, but more follows. Sometimes it looks like the wolves are actually killing the Golden Eagle but ---well, see for yourself. Just incredible display of the power these magnificent Golden Eagles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Re644qgnCtw |

Another shot to really bug you. This is "Boris XX". Each year for the past 20 or so, there seems to always be a spider who has a web on my front porch directly across from the light. I used to snag moths and toss them into Boris I's web and watch him/her come down and wrap up dinner. I hope to get better shots as I hope to have better light during the day to shoot him. The use of flash, however, does make the web stand out more i must confess. ![]() |

Hello everyone. What a busy day I had. I'm beat. Coleman is being really needy tonight  Lots of hugs already. Must be he missed me today. Wow is squiggles getting big. Love that panda. Peetie. I'm glad you're back. Sandie hope you feel better. The W grade will show on your transcript but will not effect your GPA. Better to get a W than not withdraw and get an F which will effect your GPA big time. |
