I have to get caught up with last night's posts - driving home, ES calls and says he has Mets tickets - wanna go! So I run home, feed Trinity, change clothes, grab the rain coats and off we go! (yes we just went Tues but the tickets are free :) )

Ran into 2 good friends so had a little visit - while walking to car to head home after - we discover that they placed plaques in the new parking lot noting where the bases and pitcher's mound had been in Shea Stadium - cool! Big loss (again) last night but lots of fun anyway!

all clickables

Mr. Met during the stretch - pitcher's mound plaque - ES at that plaque - home plate!

Deb, thanks for the photos of the new stadium. Rather strange way to remember the old stadium, but what else could they do?

Nice shots of the mets!

Well, where the old Veteran's Stadium stood , which is now a parking lot for fans, there is a Pa State Historic Marker and that is about it. I know ive walked past it everytime i hoof the block and a half or so to Citizens Bank Park. However, the space is much more vital for parking it seems. Espeically at $12 per car. (another good reason to take the subway I think)

Good morning.

It's pouring down rain, windy, thunder, and lightening here. A Nor Easter coming in off the Atlantic and up the Coast. Ken said N.J. is in a Tornado Watch Box, which we probably be in it too as the day progresses.

The leaves are really falling fast with this Weather. Yesterday I noticed as we were coming back from Lunch they are turning gold, and crimson. Pretty.

I always have to have a tissue or two ready when I hear or play this song.

Thinking of all who lost loved ones on this day eight years ago and for those who continue to fight for our Freedom eight years later. . . :Hugs: <3

If I could tell the world just one thing
It would be that we're all OK
And not to worry 'cause worry is wasteful
And useless in times like these
I won't be made useless
I won't be idle with despair
I will gather myself around my faith
For light does the darkness most fear
My hands are small, I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
And I am never broken

And heartache came to visit me
But I knew it wasn't ever after
We'll fight, not out of spite
For someone must stand up for what's right
'Cause where there's a man who has no voice
There ours shall go singing
My hands are small I know
But they're not yours, they are my own
But they're not yours, they are my own
I am never broken
We are never broken

9/11 didn't just affect New Yorkers
9/11 didn't just affect Americans
9/11 affected the world and mankind
We all changed - forever.....
