This is where Teacherlady / Regan is today.. I copied this from an email she sent me Sunday night. " So, I am going to have surgery Monday morning at 10 a.m. at USC in LA. It's a two hour surgery. We are going to stay in a hotel nearby that evening so I can meet with the doctor on Tuesday. I would appreciate knowing prayers, etc. are being sent my way. Regan " |

Good Morning Peepers....I love that kitty stretching and face wiping to greet the day Marti ![]() Carole have you taken any muscle relaxants? A back injury such as you and Andie both have is so debilitating and painful ![]() for your speedy recoveries. Stretching exercises when the inflammation calms down and even simple things like standing with one foot up higher on a low stool will really help to take some pressure off. Still very upset about Patrick Swayze. Ghost is one of my all time favorite movies. Good Bye to a talented guy....he's dancing with the angels now. RIP Patrick Swayze ![]() |

Had a big scare last night when the San Diego Zoo cam was focused on an empty den for hours. Bai Yun has already started taking the Baiby out of the den and his eyes are just barely open ![]() ![]() She brought him back in around 8:00 AM this morning. I guess she wanted to sleep under the stars ![]() Back to normal now after nursing ![]()

Good Morning Cruzers. My thoughts and prayers go out to Regan with her surgery. I'm getting my stitches out today, which I can't wait for. I love, love the new mobile hospital the IWS has! Woo Hoo! I'm really busy at work since I was out for a week, and now the pile is over my head. Wishing you all a great Tuesday, and I'll try to catch up soon. Thanks for the tribute Penny for Patrick Swayze, he and I share the same birthday, 8/18 and I always liked sharing a birthday with such a sweet kind man. My uncle worked with him alot on different movies, and stayed close throughout the years. I know my Uncle Don and Patrick are kicking back in the heavens talking about old times. God Bless you Patrick.

Another Eagle to be released at Westover Plantation on Friday Sept. 18th at 1:00PM ![]() Eagle #09-0738 This young Bald Eaglet was found in a nest in Warren County, along the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, by a team of reseachers from Virginia Tech working on an eaglet banding project. The researchers noticed that the eaglet had an injury to its right leg and brought the bird to the Center. Upon admission, Center veterinarians found that the eagle was thin and dehydrated, with a bruised sternum. Radiographs revealed that the eagle had a mid-shaft fracture of the right leg. The eagle was treated with fluids, pain medications, and anti-inflammatories. On May 21, the Center veterinary team, led by Dr. Elizabeth Daut, operated on the eaglet and pinned the fracture in the bird’s leg. The vets believe that growth plates on the leg bone are not involved and are guardly optimistic about the healing of the leg. Center veterinarians have started the slow process of removing the surgically implanted pins and plates. The bird’s recovery has been complicated by an infection at the surgical site. The eagle has been moved to an outdoor flight pen and has shown improvement in its flight skills. On August 3, #09-0738 was moved to one of the Center’s largest flight pens; as noted above, the eagle is currently sharing a pen with Eagle #09-0298. |

![]() Daisy, Jessica Simpson's beloved 'caramel colored' Malti-Poo, was snatched right in front of her eyes by a coyote last night This same thing happened to my sister's Westie many years ago which is why she now has Black Labs. I don't believe Jessica will 'find' her dog
