Don't you just love the tuberose, Sandie...looks like you have at least 15 more blooms to go...WOW. They have the most heavenly smell. I have several in my yard but in all the years that I have had them only one bloomed and only once. I have all the green, just no blooms.

Hi George,

You absolutely made my day with the spotted owl baby.

Glad to oblige, he is not an owl but one of our own eagle's distant cousins called a "Lesser Spotted Eagle" They are more of the size of a Red Tail Hawk but one can see the resemblance to our BAEA's the video last night posted was of "Spot" when he was only 4weeks old. Also in that region of Estonia/Lativa are the White Tailed Sea Eagles who really do have a close resemblance to our own BAEA's

I knew we are starting to have some empty nest sydrome setting in which was why i had to post "Baby Spot" complete with his daddy and the tradtional poop shot

On another note, today i killed the morning seing the foot doc and a neurologist and wasted time at the MRI.

The move of my tibial tendon inward on my foot surgery is a go says my foot doctor. I only have to wait for his coordinator to call and schedule it for me.

The neurologist did confirm the behavior of my migraines but also wanted to put me on some sort of "happy pill" called buproprion to see if it may help prevent them in my thick skull. I think this is the same drug that is in some of the stop smoking med and also branded as "wellbutrin".

The bad news is he wanted me to have an MRI of my head to make sure that the tumor that was there hasnt started to grow back along one of the nerves at the base of my brain where my migraines also seem to start.

I had hoped to get the MRI today but ,due to the rod in my right leg, they wanted to know exactly what rod was inserted and need to contact the orthopedic surgeon who put it into me when i broke the femur and not the orthopedist who removed the screws from it a year later. So now i have to wait on this to see what the plan shall be.

Trailer 1
LORDS OF NATURE: Life in a Land of Great Predators 2:00 min.

Lords of Nature presents the engaging story of a science now discovering the great carnivores as revitalizing forces of nature, and a society now learning tolerance for the beasts they had once banished.

Trailer 2
LORDS OF NATURE: Life in a Land of Great Predators 3:30 min.

Dating back to the 1930's observations by Aldo Leopold, a mounting body of research from all corners of the globe reveals top predators as key drivers of the planet's stability and diversity of life. But there is also the obvious question of whether and how to incorporate the big predators into societies facing conflicts and fears with their return.

Chiquita this is the first year mine has had a bloom on it. Like I posted before the fertilizer that I use NOW was sold to me with the plant. If you can find a 9-18-9 ratio it should help that and your Plumeria

Jann I didn't know we could quote something from previous days. It's just done the same way? I thought I tried that a while ago and it didn't work. HMMMM!!!

Flybymar I'm so proud of you for sticking it out. :ok: Jann didn't tell you but the clickable smilies to the left of the posting screen :)^ all you have to do is click on it and it will insert itself where ever your cursor is blinking.

George I'm so sorry about all this fuss you have to do for your feets. There are so many hoops to jump through for just some of the most basic stuff. Best to be safe rather than sorry I guess. Hope it happens soon for you.

Wow ugly fire in Hollywood Hills today. He lost over 6 million dollars in a collection of art :'( Insurance does not replace the item only the value. Good thing it didn't start another hillside fire.

OK! I am trying this. How does the computer know which quote I am refering to. I clicked on one sentence and then hit quote. This is a test. Now for the smile.

It won't do the smile. I have a Mac, remember. It also won't let me change font or color. I went thru the whole drill with my instructor and no dice. The young people who teach are different every lesson so maybe I will try again. Thanks for the encouragement.

Jill, when is the finale for AGT?? I'm cheering for the chicken farmer. He's down to earth and he's really quite talented. I thought the finale was suppose to be last night.

I think it's tonight Laurie, but don't quote me! :P

Help! I could not get the part of the quote I wanted. I will save it for Thur. I know you all are not here to teach computer. I can limp along until then. Thanks Sandie & Jann.

George, I am thoroughly chastened. I do hope you saw my edit and know that I do know an owl from an eagle. However, having said that, a moment of embarrassment is so minor compared with health problems. I am sending healing thoughts.

Thanks for introducing me to a new bird. I can not find him in any of my books but this will be good practice seeing if I can find him/her on the internet. Hope there will be follow up on his condition.

Flybymar....so sorry don't know anything about a Mac. I won't confuse you with how to edit the quote but you can. Well PC can and maybe Jann can walk you through that too. But doesn't it feel splendiferous when you learn a new thing to do??? It's like a new puppy all feet and toes at first. But you are doing great!!

Harpo sorry about your cold. I think I am finally starting to get over mine. It's taken over a week to feel decent again. But you have to work.... poor baby.

Oh my gost. I'm looking at the TV show the Dr's. I love this show. One of the reasons for taking the Phlebotomy class was to understand how to draw blood better. The Dr's just showed a new device called Accuvein that exrays where your veins are. I have been saying for YEARS they should have something like this. I'm stuck over and over by people that can not find my viens. Yeah I'm so excited.

Cricket is it normal to have a sharp edge on you gum where a tooth has been pulled? it's a little painful too.

George - Several of my friends competed at Devon in dressage many years ago. They said that the surrounding countryside was just beautiful.

Sandie
- Your tuberose is beautiful, never saw one before, but then again I don't have a green thumb. Does it smell as beautiful as it looks?

Alas i only saw it after i posted my reply. The LSE is an eastern european eagle who spends winters in Africa and as far east as Turkey

(exert taken from wikipedia)
LSE-Aquila pomarina..This is a medium-sized eagle, about 60 cm in length and with a wingspan of 150 cm. Its head and wing coverts are pale brown and contrast with the generally dark plumage. The head and bill are small for an eagle. There is usually a white patch on the upperwings, and even adults retain a clear-marked white V on the rump; the wing markings are absent and the white V is not well-defined in the Greater Spotted Eagle.

Trust me that you will get the hang of posting and all the other things you see here. To pilfer an ad slogan of a major athletic apparel company, "Just Do It"! Eventually you will become so proficient you will be able to post, quote and edit in your sleep! rofl It gets easier with repetition. You'll have no problems faster than you think

Yes Devon too is in one area of the Philly region that is full of older and very large expensive homes known as "The Main Line" which is the area near the major east west line of the old pennsylvania Railroad. It isnt too far from the rich green farmland of Amish country in Lancaster county and the history of philly and is only about 8 miles from Valley Forge

Alas the area has really changed in the past 20 or so years. The proverbial McMansions have been shoved into the former rich green farms. (mc mansions=the HUGE $500,000+ homes shoved onto postage stamp sized lots with minimal space between the houses)
